haha well, gore is not loss to me. IMO, it is often stupid, pointless and dumb. Why? I say this because saw was just stupid. Sorry for gore fans, but its all about butchery and body parts. Not suggest Hell Raiser is only this, but I watch lot of Horror and almost all is Jsapanese base. Why? Well, simple, because it have often decent storyline, often surround life or family environment and makes sence. This Hollywood jumpscare with ugly demon is boring and ok, sure, you can jump, but I can make someone jump if they don't expect it. Jumpscare can be fun, but not if the movie is just bull shit with no decent plot.
Takashi Shimizu did amazing work on Ju-on (the Grudge.) and Hideo Nakata of Ringu. I defy any modern day Hollywood director to make such classic successful horrors without gore and ugly costumes that looks more like clowns. There are possibly few around but I don't remember them.
As for Hell Raiser. Clive Barker certainly was amazing in those days, but like I say, I don't like gore and saw is certainly shit to my mind, but fine if people likes the gore Genre. I don't. However, I agree, Hell Raiser is bit different accord to the information, but honestly, I suppose it is all about what each person likes. I am sure gore lovers will find many of Japanese Horror to be not as good because many do not involve ugly costumes and gore. Most seems to be ghostly and some weird acts that add to the strange atmosphere. One of the most disturbing of all that I remember is Midori. it is weird and was also banned for extreme material, so, I can talk a lot more but I will stop here. Just thought maybe it will be interesting.
yes, so people maybe turn to earthworms then where will you be? The more you cut them the more they can grow. What will you do with human earth worlms? haha
Well, depends. I know about Yakuza families so it is the same as every big family, there is lot involve so yes, the Katana is certainly use in ceremonies, but not just in Yakuza, but in many many families originate from Samurai. The Katana, like I say, are sacred, so there are times when of course yes, they need to be used in very special family event ceremonies, and yes, also I am sure some/many Yakuza family will attend also.
Muramasa? You mean the 23th century Katana make buy one of the greatest sword makers in Japanese history? Well, very very few exist now. one is stolen or I should say missing, was belong to Shogun. Another is in Tokyo Museum and any that are left are kept in special rooms that you and me will never see in our life. These are rare and priceless katana. just like the Muramasa blades. I know my Japanese history, I study it for long time lol
Yes, i notice you are a good boy. You get golden star, and if you want ramble then feel free.
