I don't know why devs make missable content in the first place -- seems like it's just annoying

1. Because users want to miss or better said avoid content.
2. Because its a game, not a picture book

More avoidable content. Even in a harem game i'm not keen of old hags, stupid bitches or whores and obviously i always want to avoid dicks.

That pretty much IS the norm, other than in Japanese games which would suck even if NOT censored - cartoony, Engrish, etc.

Censorship is the norm for japanese by law.
If you like them or not is irrelevant.

I totally agree, it should be the norm. So much frustrations to learn that a game you like is abandonned...

A gallery that fully unlocks when you complete any path. That way you can play without a walk-though and enjoy the blind play through experience while not missing any content. Now and Then does this. Though the game would have to be completed for this to make sense, which is idk 25% of games, maybe. *shug*

New Game+. Your character is flawed on first playthrough, but, godlike on the second, that way, you have to chose a route the first time, but can, still enjoy a harem ending the second time, for example. Just like they usually do on Persona games.

Actual effort put into sound design if the choice is made to use sound.
I'm sick of opening a game and having my ears bleed cause the dev can't be 1/2 assed to set it at an acceptable level. Louder than anything else at full volume by far is stupidly annoying especially when they don't let you skip it. Thank god for mute button on my keyboard.
Also they should set the volume at mid range in options by default, this way if people do want it louder they can just adjust the slider or whatnot and for those who don't want sound don't have it blasting away until they can adjust it.

Same goes for music. Also, if using voices get decent ones, not just default giggling, shocked gasps, sex moans, etc.
