Perhaps posting a review to a game could give you a little more coins than replying in a thread. It could incentivize having more takes in the review section, that sometimes can be a bit empty. Cheers!

Having your post quoted should also give points. Regardless of someone quoting it because they're loving it or hating it, the post has generated engagement, and that's part of the motivation behind the points system.

This will only lead to a ton of meaningless spam reviews.

Extremely abusable. One could quote hundreds of posts through all of the forum in one single reply and it would give everybody coins. Then one just need to delete the quotes and everybody would still have the coins.

Mmhhh. Now that I think about it that's true. But maybe there's a way to make people review more the games they play. There aren't a lot of reviews sadly and it's a great point of reference when looking for games.

That's true, I feel like I'm in a work meeting I have nothing to contribute on but I have to say SOMETHING at all and just regurgitate something someone said before. To be honest it's not great but it gets the job done (both here and in a meeting). I try to be meaningful and think carefully about the message but it's not uncommon that it gets lost in the sea of other people, so it can be a little discouraging.

The problem is the tracking of this. A quote or mulit-quote is just a line of code, the buttons are nothing more than a copy&paste function.
Also one can manually add quotes without using any buttons.

I assume the only way to track this, is by the alert/notification system. And that can't distinguish where it came from.
Also, if one adds a quote as an edit, there will never be a alert/notification for the new one.

Other than this, I don't think the system needs changing. Using the weekly discount and just engaging a little is more than enough to get M+.

I personally think having a daily login in system would make things a lot easier. Also maybe an achievement or loyalty system like logging in for x amount of days consecutively or interacting with x amount of threads gives bonuses

It used to be like that, but it was too long, especially for those of us who were longtime members, and it's not as hard to achieve for those who intend harm.
