Is this the big wheel chapter? I got quite bored on that section, which was disappointing as it was obviously intended to be a climactic event. Generally it's been very well written, even enjoyed the fantasy sequence with Macy as a monster.

Yes, chapter 7. That's the "Editor needed" chapter. It was rolling along great up until then, but went off the rails a lot of the time after that.

The true climactic scene at the end dragged on forever. He released an update where you could do the "abridged" version of it, but even that dragged on imo.

Genres I don't like I won't play.
What I "hate" in games is having to start all over again after each update because the dev found it necessary to somehow break the savegames.
If you know you're going to do that, develop a way to import them in your new version.

Yeah these make people get extremely angry for some reason. I'm not a fan if ntr, but if the art is solid enough, I'll always give it a go! Unless it's super centered out like the extreme humiliation stuff. Then it's not for me, but it's good for the people who want it lol

Gods yes, this. It's honestly mind-boggling to me - when I first encountered that crowd, I truly thought it was some kind of big joke. (Still not 100% convinced that a lot of them aren't just trolling, to be honest.) Like of all the seriously fucked up shit around here, THAT'S the fetish they're upset about?!

Kinetic Novels. Okay, it's a linear story with pictures. If it's a good story and/or good pictures, then that can be a good experience. Are movies just the worst, too? Should every graphic novel be a pick-a-path book??

I kinda blame the devs for this. Not all of them, but the large number that make sandbox games and either don't think very hard about enjoyable game design, or actively use the sandbox features to pad out game length. I actually enjoy a good sandbox but I've definitely played too many that were just a slog of unrewarding clicking, and for a lot of people those games eclipse the good ones.

Doesn't help that the tag itself is really broad. Lessons in Love, Glassix, and Kingmaker are all tagged sandbox but don't really have similar gameplay at all.

I think Light of My Life gets its fair share of hate.

I like it though.. so, yeah. Then again, I've been known to have poor taste in things.

I clicked this thread just to say Light of my Life and it's the second comment haha. Sure, the characters could be more conventionally attractive but the relationships are so pure and loving. When you finally have sex with them it's so heartwarming. And the side characters are entertaining.
