Why should i want a moaning computer?
The only one who has to moan when i'm alone in a room is me ^^

Sounds rarely add anything for me. It's usually the same recycled generic sounds that don't often fit the scene.

I've run into very few variations on them and some are so obnoxious that a VN is better off without them.

I also think it takes both a talented programmer to put it all together in the right way. Sound files also take up a lot of space in a download.

Maybe once enough Devs get talented enough, the pool of sounds gets deep enough, and better compression is available for files, you might see it in more VNs. I appreciate it in the few that have done it well, but don't really miss if it isn't there, and turn it off it's done poorly.

I've literally never played a game where those kind of sound effects actually added something positive. They always sound like absolute shit.

benefit/cost ratio. also helps to avoid any uncomfortable situations if your headphones accidentally disconnect

Most people mute, especially if they live with people (or have neighbors with thin walls, or when it's warm and windows open) that they don't want hearing it.

this is the most scary type of person, mutes for noisy, people on the sides, pants down, stats to jerk off

I am not a fan of fake sounds.

I think all games should have sound though, easy enough for me to mute it.

its called being lazy.... they don't want to do it properly so that don't bother to theres a reason why all the top games have sounds despite what alot claim here... the fact is most people enjoy sound

If Lost Life is any indication....the addition of sound can add levels of stimulation beyond just the visual to bring a game to its MAX potential.

I feel like it adds a lot when it's used, just some *PLAP PLAP* sound when fucking or some slurping while giving a bj etc. It adds a ton to the scene. Is it hard to add for devs? Or is it just not something people really care for?

That's a good question : To me a good sound makes the game highly better. ( And for people who mute : Hearphone exists!)
