Why do so few games use sex sounds?

I feel like it adds a lot when it's used, just some *PLAP PLAP* sound when fucking or some slurping while giving a bj etc. It adds a ton to the scene. Is it hard to add for devs? Or is it just not something people really care for?

Most people mute, especially if they live with people (or have neighbors with thin walls, or when it's warm and windows open) that they don't want hearing it.

I speak for my case and the few that i know, the reason is the second part, few people care about those sounds, many play without sound or they just leave the music and avoid sexual sounds

I personally feels like most of the time it is used it feels cheap.
There has been some counter exemples tho.

Also, since most people mute/it's hard to get right, better to use time/resources for other things.

its one of those things if you fuck it up and people start laughing it may ruin the moment

Seeing how many games can't get it right, I can understand why most games don't even try.

Yep, a lot of the time it actually makes the scene worse rather than improve it.

Sex sounds that you can use commercially aren't really known to be that great and like others have said, a bad sound can ruin an entire scene. Better to leave it out if you can't do it perfectly.

Even though it does affect the experience when the sound effects are not aligned., I still prefer to have them on. It's like watching star wars with no sound FX for me.

I usually don't mind sex sounds but like someone else in this thread sometimes it can sound goofy and ruins the scene for me, plus I really hate music in games too, mostly when I first start the game and the first thing I hear is a blaring loud sound track UGH!!.

Same dude. I generally mute adult games completely to listen to my own music or sit there in silence. Too many games have music that doesn't really fit or like you said is way too loud.

I know this is probably not the place to ask, but can someone tell me what that LV 0 bar is on everyones profile?? I only noticed it today.

What kind of music fits when playing and adult game? I just cant wrap my mind what would fit the theme. Different genre of music for each different genre of game?

If I don't mute music, I turn it way down.

I guess some sort of romantic ambient music might fit.

Sometimes it's a good fit but others when it's the same sound over and over it takes a lot out of it
