Sound on/off

the music really has to match for me to leave it on.

Sound very low and music off.

Sorry, but games need sound, otherwise they're not games but books... and I don't understand why it's not standard to integrate a few sound files into VN.

If the music works, I keep it on. If not, the VN/game has to be decent for me to consider going with silence.

Usually on, unless there's something really annoying. If they made the effort to even record voices for the dialogues then... that gets turned off immediately.

I disagree, I play video games all the time with the sound off. Doesn't mean it isn't a game anymore.
I would go mad if I didn't play my own ambient music playing Civilization. I also listen to my own ambient music while reading VN as well.

depends on how the quality is. Sometimes voice acted games are actually quite good, but if it's standard moans off it goes.

Sound off most of the time. Rare its on.

At first i played without sound but now i leave the music but i always remove the voices and effects

for me, sound def off

Depends on the game, but 9% of the time it's off.

There's a big disparity in the quality of sounds & music in games, so it's always dependent on the game itself. Usually I have to take the music to 50% as a default, and lower the sounds quite a bit (especially if it's just some canned moaning that doesn't add much for me).

Off, seeing the popular preference, I think the devs shouldn't even spend too much time improving that xD

I usually have sound off when play nsfw games

usually on, I for some reason can not stand english voice acting though, specifically in ero games. with the jp stuff it does not bother me at all, but I wouldn't say it adds anything either. Music always on if there is any

Sound is always off, most of the times I disable the sound output entirely in os settings

there are lots of games with good sound tracks so i keep them on if i can, but if its unbearable music, fuck that.

If they have voice acting, I turn it off. I don't really like va.

In game music turned down to a quarter and the rest of the game audio on maximum and then on the hardware level I set the volume so I can just hear the music.
