But yeah, I'm not saying this is "bad" game now, but I bet you I'm not gonna be looking out for it in updates, and I'm sure that's fine. Not like I was giving the guy money, they owe me nothing.

That's absolutely fine, it's how the lich that sings the internet into existence feeds itself, but I also would heavily advise against taking anyone online totaly seriously ever in your life. Not only because people exaggerate and sometimes troll, but because some hyperbole is fun to engage in.
