Is this forum's moderation as strict as f95's?

Same brother/sister, I miss the good old days. I feel like now, you go to 4chan just to watch it burn.
with such people around I look back really fondly to the old 4chan days where everything was pure chaos and at the same time really harmonic

lewdcorner and certain smaller boards in 4chan have one thing in common, you find more people that are really passionate about their hobbies / topics. for those "corners" of the internet you dont need that much policeing because the community sorts itself out easier than something like f95 that is too big for its own god

I agree for the most part, I just wish that people who believe pixels are real, would kindly evacuate. It sucks that users are having to go through the gauntlet because of "reports". All so that they can post a "win" in some other community. However, I think that your point stands, those actually in the community tend to do a good job of arbitrating overall.

P.S. sorry for the rant... :ROFLMAO:

that rant is still on topic if you ask me, cause shitty jannies and the eternaly online fit right into the f95 problematic and their over assertion of "power" ;)

It's honestly heart wrenching to see threads/games get removed from there. especially if you've been watching them for a while or it's a new game you look forward to. Definitely looking forward to spending more time here if it's actually that much better as you guys have described
Well, fair bit of them are still on the site my dude. You need to comment a bit, open a ticket after you've met the requirement and ask for the new rank.
That way you'll unlock the posts that have been hidden. It isn't ideal but due to issues this site has for being so lenient and anti-censorship, it gets into problems.
LC's moderation and rules are alright. You can talk about a lot of topics freely, lot of games are still accessible and the admins do their damn job at trying to keep the site alive.

For F95 and here, I mostly just read the comments and keep my mouth shut and move on.

Oh yeah, first part of that was meant to be about F95, as their moderation seems rather strict with some things. Sorry if it looked like I meant it about LC 😓

In f95 jannies delete any and all conversation that even tangentially not related to the game. Actually, they remove any discussion there's any disagreement and ongoing debates/criticisms. It happened multiple times with me:
  • I post some criticism
  • some fan of the game disagrees
  • we start a heated but civil debate
  • Janny deletes every post saying it's off-topic
I even had reviews deleted. Is this forum like that?
Already better than F95 in that there's no restriction on games

There are restrictions.
Games where the character appears waaaaaay too young aren't permitted. That's fine and understandable. From what I understand, some games where the age is specifically mentioned are either hidden or not allowed either.
AI art games are not allowed due to concerns associated with AI and its use of models.

It's nowhere near as restrictive as F95 but some compromises had to be made so site as whole can function for now.

Oh yeah, I can understand that part. I guess a better wording should have been *less* restrictions on games. Still better though. AI restriction is also a good choice since most of those are kinda....mediocre.

Nah, these guys are way better about it than that other place. I think their mods were on the wrong side of WWII.

Never had issues with mods or comments removed here or there

Sometimes, I posted reviews on F95 but apparently, they decided to delete one of those, citing a rule which very clearly didn't apply. I asked the trial-moderator who did it about it and there was no discussion to be had. It was ruled that way, live with it or change it (what exactly...the criticism apparently?). Some moderator advised me to open a ticket with the staff...but the staff never bothered and simply closed it after a couple of weeks. I decided to delete my account afterwards.
Either be arbitrary like that and not have any rules at all or have rules and actually follow them!

Not as strict but after the last snitch the rules have become stricter and they enforce them more.

You might get your reads and posts deleted as well if it's deemed to be spam with a coin penalty.

Some games it's apparently against the rules there to leave a negative review, especially the blue balling ones that somehow are popular, like A Wife and Mother.

Possibly. My review was about "Love of Magic".

Comments that are not relevant to the topic of discussion are deleted on any forum that respects itself and its readers. On *95* the rules are still very liberal, on island of plesure you would be banned permanently, by IP address.
As for reviews. It clearly states what should be present in a review. A review should help other users figure out if the game is of interest or not, with an evaluation of each component of the game (story, engagement, graphics quality, etc.).
The review should not be a stream of consciousness of the author that this game sucks or is a super masterpiece.
Of course, there's also the stereotypical “When will there be an update?” posts. “Last save, please”, “Any walkthrough?”, etc. But in general, thanks to moderation, the discussions there are more informative and useful than here. So for me *95* was and remains the number one resource.

I had one really innocuous review deleted by ƒ95 moderators, and I still don't know what was wrong with it (I suspect it was because I spoke about the price of the game in the review, not sure).

Other than that, I haven't noticed any excessive moderation. Some people here are claiming that "all criticism" of any games is moderated on ƒ95... simply not true. There's plenty of criticism of games on ƒ95.

On *95* I have written 34 reviews. None of them have been deleted or rejected.
Grade distribution:
1 point out of 5 - 8 games.
2 points - 10 games.
3 points - 5 games
4 points - 4 games
5 points - 7 games.
As you can see, there was plenty of criticism on my part.

considering f95 goes out of their way to ban games that arent "up to their standard" should be the answer you need, i hate how they run that site
