Eternity? That's a long ass time. No matter how much I love a game, I would come to loathe every single pixel, texture, vertex, model, sound, whatever, in a relatively short amount of time. So, it would need to be something that gets updated.

I'll go with Warframe then. Pretty sure I still have a lot of blood to squeeze out of that stone even after 4000 hours, and it doesn't look likely to go under any time soon, so I'll have the time.

kinda, basically a sandbox, an interesting story, some harem, 2D cartoonish art.

Ahh gotcha. Goodbye Eternity by RNGeusEX is the first thing that comes to mind. Story may still seem incomplete, but it's getting there since the main characters are getting their initial routes finished.
This having good animations in 2D is actually a pretty nice addition.

Once a Porn a Time by Salty01, If you don't mind some grinding,
Space Rescue: Code Pink by Robin
Price for Freedom: Avarice by Team Dead Deer, for an actual RPG Game w/ Combat if you wanna try it.
S.H.E.L.T.E.R. - An Apocalyptic Tale by Winterlook. Not a straight parody of, but very similar to Fallout
Stellar Dream by Winterlook
Inn Another World by Dagotto. If you don't mind a Monster Girl centered game. Take not that the game just switched to Unity from Ren'py so expect performance issues atm. Reason it switched is due to the Inn Building/Management system.


Now for the Parodies.
Gem Domination by Team Gem Buster. Parody of Steven Universe
Attack on Survey Corps by AstroNut. Parody of Attack on Titan
Deep Vault 69 by Bohohon. Parody of Fallout
The Lewdest House by DMF. Parody of Loud House

That's all the Drawn 2D games I could think of which I enjoyed. Dunno if you will enjoy the story of it, but here are some options that would probably keep you busy for a while

Wow this game keeps getting mentioned over and over, yet I didn't enjoy it. Maybe I didn't give it a fair trial..

It's probably because it's one of the rare 2D games which has very beautiful art which I can understand why. It may still feel incomplete tho so that's why you probably didn't enjoy it. Give it the same time as Summertime Saga and it'll easily be at the same level of quality as it is.

Ohh it's no problem. I'm a big fan of 2D games myself and actually prefer them over 3D since if done correctly, 2D will look very beautiful and more unique due to it being made from scratch by the artist instead of using available assets. That's why when I've read that you want 2D art, I just had to share what I know.

My games varies like my music with my mood.
If i'm in a aggro mood i want to exterminate humans, so i dont favor the same games in these times as when i'm in the mood to conquer a country/world/galaxy, rule or manage something or hunt every pussy i see.
