Original Robotech, Vampire Hunter D, for something lighthearted Ranma 1/2. Trigun was good. If you like racing Initial D is about drift racing in Japan.

Whatever Studio Gibli

Had a good laugh with Mashle: Magic and Muscles, there are two seasons for now.

What type of anime you like, the list is too big

My favorites are: Berserk (original and movies), GTO, Shiki, Hellsing Ultimate and Natsume Yuunjinchou

it might be corny since its a romance anime, but Toradora! is insanely good

Macross SDF jap dub/ w subtitles (some dubs somehow didnt translate but just made stuff up, also voice acting 🥲)
Ninja Scrolls
Urotsukidoji
La Blue Girl
Record of Lodoss War

Psychopass; recommending the extended edition (basically 2 regular anime episodes connected, iwht some extra scenes, for a single 40-45 minute episode.

Bit more of an adult theme (not in the sexual way, but mentally) ; interesting story IMO. :)

Very cookie cutter but.. Frieren was great - it's definately slow pased, particularly at the start, but it's very good in general, and when the action gets going.. it's like every fight is a 'special' with the quality of the animations in the fights
Psychopass is so good! I haven't seen either of the OVAs but I enjoyed both seasons.

I'll recommend Gundam Iron Blooded Orphans and Battle Fairy Yukikaze. IBO's tone is pretty bleak but well-executed and Yukikaze is slow and mysterious.

you looking for recommendations for series in the current season or overall?
if it has a action tag i've probably at least seen a few eps.
some gems i actually have the dvd's(primitive video storage device before everyone went to all digital for the few young uns who don't know): beserk, cowboy bebop, gantz, hunterxhunter, code geass, samurai champloo, trigun, yu yu hakasho, darker than black, black lagoon, elfen lied, ghost in the shell, ergo proxy, serial expieriments lain, texhnolyze, kurozuka, and the big ones dragon ball, bleach, naruto, and d.grayman.

for this season some of the one's i have hopes for: kaijuu 8, sentai daishikkaku, re:monster, and kenka dokugaku. ninja kamui that is still running from last season is good too, there is a lot of continuations of other series this season too.

my problem is i got spoiled to the gems that came out in the 2000's and while there are still great series coming out. back in the 2000's there were seasons where there was something i wanted to see every day(with no less than 3 shows a day) now i get bored with the quick attempts to cash in. heck even cartoon network had english animations(the artwork was very similar to japanese style ones) that were epic like teen titans, tmnt, jackie chan adventure, etc
if you want something that the english dub is imo better than the sub id try marchen awakens romance.

there is also always chinese animations. some are great like the outcast(they released a japanese dub of the first seasons called hitori no shita). some like qins moon originally had ps2 era 3d animations but have progressed to being quite well done(it's kinda like a chinese naruto) iirc they have since rereleased with improved quality. i could probably spend all day listing the hidden gems in chinese.

Highschool DxD
Tsugumomo (more recommend to read manga)
Strike the blood
Harem in the labyrinth o another world
Why the hell are you here. teacher?

OMG, why my hand automatic typing these

A couple I haven't seen:
No Game No Life
Steins;Gate

And I'll have to second the Yu Yu Hakusho and Trigun recommendations from a couple posts above.

A Certain Magical Index and its spinoffs are also worth considering. (Railgun S has perhaps my favorite arc of all time, but I wouldn't recommend jumping straight to that as there's relevant background to know make the most of that arc!)
