I intend to subscribe once a new version is released. I usually only stay subscribed for a month or so and consider it my payment for the product. Personally I can't imagine why someone would not be willing to pay the cost of a fast food meal for content like this, but it seems it's common not to.

Not gonna lie @RIC0H I'm kinda disappointed that you are now paywalling an actual (side girl) LI/content/scenes rather than just bonus renders and stuff. I understand the latter - gotta give the subs something for subbing - but when whole paths are locked behind a paywall it's just...not confidence-inspiring, I guess. But you do you. I'll still play the game. The parts we freeloaders get are still good, anyway.

This was discussed on Discord in June 2022 and the result of that discussion is that;
Orphanage girls will be in the Gallery version only.

This is what was agreed on and as such is what is happening.

He has the ability to update them himself - that would probably be simpler!

Don't want to offend you, I just want to give my thoughts on the current topic.

Honestly, I think, that giving the high tier supporters some form of acknowlegdement back is the right thing. But making supporter exclusive content with such high paywalls, isn't it, especially if there is a hint of the cut content left. Yeah, the few people, who are supporting you at that level will be thankful, but I doubt, that you will get more with this. You should put your game into relation with other games out there and ask yourself, is your game really competetive with other games that can be bought for $60-$70 one time? In most cases that's a no, because you are creating just a VN, a niche one nonetheless, but still just a VN, not something that will people bind for hundreds of hours and pull them even after years back. Most people will play it one time, maybe a second, they have their few hours fun of reading and then it gets deleted and forgotten. Most people aren't willing to pay monthly $20 or even $40 for who knows how long for something that is so easily forgotten. Some might be willing but just not able to. And some are waiting for the final version before paying, too often people got burned by money-grabbing devs. Not saying you're one of them, just giving examples. You're in a very fortunate situation to be able to get financiall support during the development, many indie games on steam for example don't make that much at all. But by cutting out content or better worded, developing content for a very small group of people might do you no favor, it could go wrong, especially if the lower supporter tiers feel disadvantaged.

To sum up, I agree with your thought of giving the supporters something back, but I don't like your approach on the subject.
As I said, I just wanted to give you my thoughts on this, it's your decision, if you want to change it or not. I may even be wrong and it works in favor for you, but experiences with other devs and their games showed, that it's mostly a negative outcome. That's all. And now on a positive note, I appriciate your work and I'm waiting patiently for the next version to come out.

I just got disappointed twice ... at first I thought there is finally a "new" update to play, but it's just 0.6 which I already played end of september "last" year! ... and second, now reading about "high"-price paywall shit for some game LI's?!? wtf!
I can only agree with @ThePieRat - 20 bucks for just an update? judging by the previous update sizes and the f-ing waiting time since the last update -> nope, nope and nope ... will never happen to spend that much - I rather take those 20 and buy an actual "full" game on steam or similar shops!
Another game ruined ... this just reminds me of something similar, "Blackmailing the Family" ... since the dev there choose too to make a paywall for some of the content and the time elapsed since the last update ... I wouldn't be surprised to hear it got abandoned -> seems it did not pay out in the end for this dev ... I'm afraid this will be also the start of the end for @RIC0H 's "Corrupted Love"-project ... such a shame, it's such a cool game ... or should I say: was such a cool game?

dont worry someone will post the full version here at some point, it's just fighting with people over bullshit. the more you hide content the more people are willing to fight over it and then releasing it to everyone else.

Unfortunately not. Why? Because RIC0H owns this thread. Therefore, by Lewd Corner policy, HE decides what gets posted here. This is why we are only getting 0.6 right now which has been available on F95 since September: RIC0H only makes each update for the crippled version (SE) available for free when the next version of the SE comes out for pay, no matter how long that takes (7 months in this case). It was not allowed to be posted on LC until now. And since RIC0H only allows the full version (GE) to be sold for $20 on his website and never, ever makes it available for free (even when the next version comes out) we will NEVER get it here. And while we will probably be able to get the crippled version of 0.7 on F95 any day now, we also will not be able to ever get the GE since it violates their precious Rule 7. So we Lewd Cornerians are well and truly fucked.

This is where we have a huge dilemma and have been trying to figure out a way to get things like t his posted. I am a dev as well but I am not greedy and would not ever do something like this. Yeah those that sub to me would get first dibs but after a few weeks it would become public... not in part not in censored shit but in whole. I would never hide anything behind a paywall and to me that is utter bullshit to pull that crap. I have a lot of respect for Ricoh but this is just plain greedy.

I have to admit it's a disappointing decision to me, too. RIC0H compared the gallery version to the PF gallery version over on The Other Site, but PF doesn't lock any scenes or LIs behind that version, it only has non-canon gallery renders locked to that version. With the GE never going free, for me that puts this on the "check back when/if it's finished and pay once for the whole thing" pile rather than the "play each update until I feel satisfied enough with the content received so far to start supporting" pile (since $5 and $10 monthly supporters get nothing but early access).

And there is a third disappointment for today ... f&%§, that's depressing but you are right ... I guess that was it for me, the first time this awesomely cute caramel skinned orphan beauty showed up on screen, she was instantly my favorite - I cant & wont play a game anymore where the best part of it is not accessible without paying a to big amount of money for so little as an update ... nope, I'm not that stupid or desperate. There are other games out there .... Even if a game is great, I'm not supporting such "bad" behavior by playing it or even talking (writing) about it ....

That's a pretty common model. I think ketzal, for one, does that with Such a Sharp Pain. And I have no problem with doing that even though I miss out on some sexy renders. The "price" I "pay" for not actually paying. But paywalled game content is just...wrong somehow. ?

I didn't actually realize that there were two different versions of each update of this game before. I just figured that the game wasn't going in a direction that interested me so there was no reason to play it further. I've checked back on the thread from time to time, but have otherwise not played this game for quite some time. I'm not sure if the hidden version of the game would be worth playing or not and would need more of a description of it to know, but at least in theory that version sounds like it might be worth playing.
