v0.5.2
N/A

v0.5 FULL_FIX1
- Fixed an issue where Mamazone items wouldn't be delivered when bought from Eve.
- Fixed an issue where the character would go to sleep at the end of the first FRP.
- Fixed an eroneous directory path that led to a missing sound file in one of Eve's scenes.

v0.5
- 1 Eve-related quest was added.
- 1 Sheila-related quest aimed at gathering the funds for the bedroom renovations was added.
- 6 variations were added to Eve's scheduled events, some of which include sex scenes.
- Added the PopEvent system, which show short scenes when conditions are met. (find an example on )
- Added two PopEvents
- The first Family Reunion Proposal (FRP) was added, which affects when (and with whom) the girls take showers with.
- Every horny event that Alice witnesses will now make Alice hornier, thanks to the implementation of the horniness system.
- The dialogue box was remade and given a more minimalistic style, to give more place to the renders. Each character now has its own colored nametag.
- Mamazone items are now delivered the next morning (this was already implicitly the case, but now there's proper code and mini-scenes to support that)
- Eve will now go run errands every morning on her own. She'll buy errands for a full day every morning. Additionally, the "shopping with Eve" scene is now skippable.
- The option not to go jog with Eve was renamed from "nevermind" into "come back later" to give a better chance to the players to find her first masturbation event.
- The motion detector for Emily's event in the basement will no longer be "true" until her event is actually implemented.
- Removed the $5000 bedroom-renovation bonus, as it is now taken care of in Sheila's quest.
- Updated the second bedroom renovation event to make it more canon
- Updated Eve's avatar (on menus and summaries)
- Added a secret detail about a character once you find out about it (in their "personal" menu)
- Re-integrated the dishwashing and Movie night scenes with the new horniness system
- All outcomes from the Angelina movie night scene now skip time
- Fixed typos and improved grammar across several events (thank you testers <3)

v0.4.5
- Re-rendered the kitchen and living room. They are now 2 properly distinct locations.
- Re-rendered the first floor corridor.
- Re-rendered and implemented the character appearances and navigation buttons accordingly.
- Reworked the "management menu". It now looks better, cleaner, and it was rid of its useless tabs.
- Added a "transaction details" that shows your expenses and revenue for the current week.
- The housemate's tab now display a couple "intimate" details.
- Updated the HUD, which comes with a few new functionalities:
- Added "fast travel" buttons to access the house's main locations in one click.
- Added a "motion detector" menu that shows every room in the house, and if they're currently occupied or not.
- Reworked the game's intro
- Added a "fast quest log" that shows all current active tasks.
- Added a horniness bar that shows Alice's current arousal state.
- Added a small task at the beginning of the very first quest.
- Replaced the former stat dice rolls with horniness checks (Angelina's movie night outfit change, and the dishwashing event)
- Added a general tutorial at the beginning of the game.

v0.4.1
- Remade the graphic design job system:
- There are now only 3 different selections: a 1-hour job, a 2-hour job and a 4-hour job.
- The longer a job takes to complete, the more money it rewards.
- You can gain reputation from working jobs, and unlock higher-paying missions.
- Working rewards more money all around.
- Brought QoL improvements to the errands menu:
- There is now a button to empty the cart
- You can now buy ingredients by recipe
- An event was added that triggers when you fail to pay the isolation tax for the first time.
- The picture-taking tasks composing Riley's quest are now separated into 3 distinctive tasks. The location of the picture-taking events is specified in the task labels, in the quest log.
- You can now buy directly from the MamaZone shop (you still have to consult Eve).
- There is now a warning after the first bedroom renovation event that you will be given $5000 by the game on-demand, when you ask Eve about buying the renovation materials for the new bedrooms.
- The Juggernaughty quest triggers sooner, after 5 days (on Saturday), and the tax collector's appearance is conditionned by the player completing the 4th task of this quest.
- The isolation tax was reduced from $330 to $250.
- Stats were disabled, and will be reactivated once they become more relevant.
- Music and SFX was added to all events where relevant. Some music was replaced.
- Fixed a crash bug caused by a typo in Emily's cumsauce reaction dialogue.
- Fixed a bug where the laptop's interaction button was always active, even when the laptop wasn't unlocked yet.

v0.4
- Added 42 new events
- Continuation of the main story.
- Introduction of Riley's job and the beginning of her quest, which includes:
- Introductory events leading to her beginning her naughty model career!
- 4 events where you get to be Riley's personal photographer!
- A Just-A-Fan website with a feed and a message system.
- The bedrooms can now be renovated! This is the first step our beloved family takes into improving their situation :D All 5 bedrooms can be upgraded.
- An internet shop. All you have to do is run your purchases by Eve :).
- Took the occasion to re-render all the bedrooms, and bring necessary improvements to the living room and kitchen.
- Added an oven and a new washing machine to the kitchen area. This is part of a change in philosophy that I explained in a previous progress report.
- Remade all character avatars (pictures that appear during summaries and on the main menu).
- Entirely remade the code behind character appearances (Schedule system) and added each character's schedule in the main menu.
- Remade every button for character interaction and interactable objects, for cosmetic and functionality purposes.
- The computer is now its own button, and isn't accessible from clicking the bed anymore.
- Added the backyard location. Like the bedrooms, this location can be upgraded.
- Greatly simplified the errands/cooking system
- Tweaked the errands tutorial accordingly.
- Additionally, added the ability to add secret sauce to your meals.
- Removed the shower peek minigame, (temporarily?) replaced it with a scene.
- Added an expense system. You will now be charged weekly for using the heaters and air conditionning. Check out your incoming transactions in the house menu!
- Made several small improvements:
- Fixed the temperature and heater systems. The auto function on heaters and air con should work properly now.
- You can click the thermometer on the HUD to switch celsius/fahrenheit display.
- Made the night summary more straightforward to save some useless clicks. Now you just have to click once per character.
- Mode the pop-up window larger, added short versions of the task descriptions so text doesn't spill out.

v0.3.1
ADDED:
1 Sex scene that triggers along the main quest.
1 Sex that triggers the first time you get your mom to stay in her bathrobe during the movie night.

You are now prevented from entering your relative’s bedrooms during the first quest.

Initial Release
OH, HELLO THERE :)
Welcome to Misarmor's Subscribestar page!
Here you can find information about the creator's first project, A Home in The Desert, as well as information about the development of the game and what to expect if you become a subscriber. Let's go!

A HOME IN THE DESERT.
A Home in the desert is my first game. It's an idea that has been in my mind for a long time, that plans to merge a rich story with management/RPG elements, along with a deep, slow-burn type of corruption, fit for even the fanciest type of coomer. But what is it even about?

THE STORY.
The story takes place into a family, successful in the entertainment industry, that has to face some unfortunate events, which will lead them to lose their wealth and renown, leaving them with nothing but their blood ties and the will to get back on their feet.

WHAT'S MY ROLE IN THE GAME?
You play as a young futanari girl, who's been put in charge of the family's new household, her new role forcing her to try to balance her will to support her well-endowed family members, and her enormous sex-drive.

OKAY... WHAT'S THE SMUT LIKE?
I am not a picky guy... ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
In this game you will find a wiiiide variety of kinks, going from masturbation to public sex, exhibitionism, prostitution, gokkun, and of course, pregnancy. Do note that every sexual encounter will be consensual.

WHEN/WHERE CAN I EXPECT MORE?
A Home In The Desert is planned to be quite big, and there are a lot of different things to do. The thing is : when those lines are written, I (Misarmor) am the only developer working on it except for the proofreader who is correcting my silly english. So you can expect long development cycles of around 2-4 months.

BUT.
In my genius... I have put in place a Discord server!
In here you'll be able to not only follow the updates as they progress, but you'll also be able to harass the dev into going faster! Yay!

TELL ME MORE ABOUT THAT DISCORD THINGY.
Sure. So as stated right above, in this Discord server you'll be able to follow the development, and hang out with the dev(s), but that's not all! A lot of channels have been put in place so you can share many things with your fellow coomers, such as cat pictures, or smut!
There is also a whole section dedicated towards the game so you can provide feedback, including a "suggestions" channel where you can let your imagination go wild.
Here's the link :

AS OF NOW... WHAT CAN I EXPECT?
In 0.1 you can find the introduction, which allows you to meet the characters and what they will be going through in the future. You also get a glimpse of the exploration element, as you get to visit the house. To some extent you also get a sense of the management element, with the cooking menu, and the summary menu that should appear when you pass the time.
This 0.1 is not as good as I hoped it would and does *not* entirely reflect the quality that I want my game to reach. There are a few known issues but nothing that should prevent you from trying stuff out. Don't let that little warning make you hesitate to click on stuff though. :D

Tags listed under the title include both "female protagonist" and "futa/trans protagonist" while tags listed under genre list only "futa/trans protagonist". Pictures depict a futa. If there is no choice to choose your protagonist without a dick, you may want to remove "female protagonist" from the tags since it implies "female with pussy" as opposed to "female with massive thundercock".

PUBLIC PROGRESS REPORT #33
Hello people, welcome to the 33rd progress report!
A very frustrating 10 days for me, I'm still working on the errands/cooking, and I think I've seen enough code for a whole month.
All I've done during those 10 days is write new python objects, declare them, write methods, "for" loops, debug, and rewrite code.
I wasn't supposed to modify code for the cooking system (as usual) but I still did (as usual), and I wish I hadn't deleted the old code just to show you what the issue was. One single ingredient display in the cooking system was like 30 lines long. It's not the case anymore and the code is now way more efficient and readable. Here's what the cooking screen looks like by the way:
640f5741-3dcd-4dc0-bc2e-486cde89462c-740x0.png

On that screen I still have to add the recipe's ingredient cost per person, remove the "free groceries" test button and remove the "placeholder" tags, as to prevent confusion from the players that might think the "placeholder" tags are for the recipes, and not the image of the recipe. Anyway.

I'm kinda bummed to have had to spend one more f-ing 10 days on that but it's quite complex and will probably get extended in the future, so I have to spend the time making sure it's squeaky clean for the release. I have also come to an other depressing realization: it's already almost mid-April and I'm not even at the middle of the work I have left to do, and we're barely a month and a half away from the 4 months mark. You probably don't know the contents of my to-do list if you're not a $5 sub (or above) but as an example: I have a "finish scheduling" task, that is: giving a schedule to every family member and making them appear around the house, and I'm planning that task to take *at least* 2 progress-report cycles. If I started now probably wouldn't be done until the beginning of May, which 2 months ago I was planning for 0.3 to be done by that point.

So yeah, sorry to share the bad news. I don't even have a spoiler render to share with the "investor" tier donors, and that's the first time I missed the mark. Hopefully I'll have way happier news to give on the 20th of April. See you in the next 10 days.

PUBLIC PROGRESS REPORT #36
Hello people, welcome to the 36th progress report!
And from today on, our Alice can get a good night's sleep! Isn't that awesome?
And that's because I'm done with everything sleep-related. I have done and tested the alarm clock, the night summary additions, the sleeptime calculations and effects, everything.
Of course some stray bugs will appear right when I'm done with production, but for now my mind is at ease with all those night things.
Little piece of trivia for you: the script with all those night/sleep systems is more than 300 lines long. It's not particularly *big* by any standards, and the length of a script doesn't directly reflect its complexity, but I just think it's fun to think about in contrast of how simple the action of "sleeping" is supposed to be. Anyway, moving on.

I'm done with the render I talked about last report. It took me a few days to get "right", but that's the issue, I'm still not completely satisfied with it. Not really a problem, I'll just have to get back to it later.

My next task is to finish writing each girls schedule. Meaning I need to set what the girls do hour after hour around the house. I have already filled quite a few of those. Some small activities, some leading to more complete events, but that's where the problem lies, kind of.
I'm struggling to find a good balance. On one hand, I can't make every hourly activity of each girl lead to an event. That would be way too much work, and I think you have to give the player some rest. And on the other hand, I just don't wanna fill every hour with "XX is just chilling in her room", if you know what I mean.
And that's where you guys come in: I'm asking you to tell me what you would like to see the girls do during the day. It's obviously going to serve as inspiration for me, but I think it's a nice occasion to finally make you guys participate in the development, for those who would like to.

And that's basically it for today's progress report. I'll also be working on re-integrating the job system during the next 10 days, so stay tuned for that. Have a nice 10 days :)

PUBLIC PROGRESS REPORT #37

Hello people, welcome to the 37th progress report!
A lot of progress has been made on the job system, it's almost fully done and tested.
If you've been around for long enough, you might have already seen visuals for the job system, namely this menu:

0aa90b8a-31d5-4157-8c1a-299c12faa9b0-740x0.png
This is the main work menu, where you'll be earning money most of the time. Except it's not exactly as it was on the progress report a few months ago. The "work" buttons have been changed to reflect the removal of in-game minutes, and the "find new mission" that was replacing the progress bar when there was no active job has been moved to allow the player to switch jobs in the middle of one. Also, there is a "help" button right under the "stop working" one, but I'll get into that later.

The code for the progression of jobs has been entirely rewritten and is now not only complete, but now has a way better structure, making it easier to debug and expand (and probably to run). But the biggest work has been done on this entirely new menu:

c37446c8-82d9-4f52-8df5-908c4d35a370-740x0.png
This menu allows the player to chose a mission to work on, according to how long the job takes to complete (completion points, 100 for the first job) and how much money it will earn (50 for the first job). You can earn completion points by working, and the amount of completion points you earn per hour is determined by your "digital arts" stat which automatically rises the more you work. Completing a job will also earn you reputation points, and the amount you earn depends on the job and your "creativity" stat which *also* raises the more you work, along with other in-game events. All that will be explained in detail on the "help" menu of this minigame, and that's basically all I have left to do on it, but I still have to make the visuals.

On an other note, it's now been 2 months since I contacted DAZ's support, and my issue still hasn't been resolved. I'll just share the blender sculpt of the new character (without hair, sadly) with manager tiers and above, as I can't share her from DAZ...

Anyway, that's basically all I have to share on this progress report I think. See you in 10 days :)

PUBLIC PROGRESS REPORT #41
Hello people, welcome to the 41th progress report!
I can hardly believe it's the 30th already. This dev cycle went by in a flash.
Work. It's going great. I've done a lot of writing on the first 5 days, managed to write 2 whole events, designed most of the quests, and I have one more small event to write. That is without counting everything I'm going to add with the additions to schedule, but I'm delegating that to future me.
But to stray closer to what you coomers want: I've also started rendering, as I said I would on the last progress report. :)
Here's a render of a beautiful mother-daughter bonding moment in front of a movie:
MovieWatch_AngiePJs.png
Must be a geat movie!

Watching movies with mom isn't just a way to spend some quality family time, it's also a way to raise Alice's stats. Depending on which movie you're watching (4 in total), a selection of 2 stats can be increased. I'm planning on having different renders showing on the TV screen for each stat increased, but I'm not sure if I can afford to allocate the time for such a detail, so I'll probably dedicate that to a future minor 0.3.1 update.
As usual the 10+ donators will receive an exclusive spoiler render for this scene.

On a more personal note, temperatures are getting a bit chillier here which is pretty nice, and unlike last year I can push my graphics card all day long without any issues, ever since I plugged that front fan back in :D.

Aaaand I think that's about it!
Feel free to come by the Discord if you have any questions, and until then, bye bye :)

PUBLIC PROGRESS REPORT #44
Hello people, welcome to the 44th progress report!

I'm happy to say I had a very productive 10 days.
First things first, 0.3's text was fully proofread! I can now implement the events whenever I'm ready (thanks Lyk 8) ).
The bulk of the last 10 days was spent on implementing various systems, and I'm already done with the biggest one: the meal system.
I've made the renders so you can see when your family is waiting for you at the dinner table, I've made the buttons, I've solved (hopefully) all the bugs, I've implemented the logic for when you decide to cook yourself, or what happens when you don't...
By the way, for that I had to code a little system so Angelina can pick a random meal to prepare (out of her available recipes) which she has the ingredients for. Angelina will either prepare food for everyone, or for no one! So remember to keep the fridge packed.

I had some unexpected extra work on the way too, like I had to convert both the meal summary and the night summary to the new "mood" system from an old event system that's completely obsolete, and some other stuff I don't remember.

Also, yesterday I had the most productive day I've had in quite a while: I also finished implementing the weather system in only one day, and even added some renders to it. Here's what it looks like now:

81cae4ea-20e5-4e3a-8061-86ade399656f-740x0.webp

Now I have a complete test round to make, and some more renders to make before I start implementing the events. It's very unlikely the test version will be ready by the 10th, but the 20th sounds like a good date. Again, if nothing unexpected happens. See you in 10 days.

When will the public update for the game itself be released, there hasn't been a playable update for this since February...

Public post

Hello people, welcome to the 45th progress report!
We have quite a few things to talk about today so let's get right to it:

- First things first, about the next release.
Don't worry, I'm still on track to release the playtest version on the 20th. It's a *very* tight fit in the schedule, but it's still somewhat realistic. On the 10th I was planning on having at least started implementing the events and the quest logic by today, but I've been so caught up in the code, implementing last-minute features and debugging, that this was delayed.
In fact, let's talk about what I've done on the last 10 days.

- So on the last 10 days I've worked on some of the few renders that are still missing, like for the small extension for the "sisters breakfast" event and the "dishwashing" event, and I've been working on a small "auto mode" feature for the heating/cooling system so that players wouldn't have to spam the menu to prevent losing mood points in a stupid way. And I've made a small addition to the housemates overview cards by adding a bio and a "reputation" stat that I think you guys will like. Lastly I've made a few test rounds and corrected some bugs, as I said on point 1.

- About 0.3, there was quite a few improvements that couldn't make it in time for the release. I won't name them so that you guys don't get too disappointed, but my main point with this is: after 0.3 I'm probably going to give myself a month to implement as many of those things as I can for a 0.3.1 release. Even then, a month won't probably be enough to cover everything, especially since some of those things are rather technical, but it would give me a month to have some fun working on some new fancy stuff. We'll see how that goes.

Here's what I have left to do: finish the couple renders that I have left to do, implement the dialogue/events, implement the quest logic, and implement the sound. The latter is the one that worries me the most, but it's not something that will prevent me from preparing the test release, so it's okay-ish. Stay tuned.

And before I go, I just wanted to say that it's pretty cool to see you guys still invested after all this time, it really warms my heart. Thank you all for your patience :)

And that's about it for today's progress report. See ya :)

In the game you can't rename the character what you want it's either Alice or pick random name. The default RandomNamePool = ["Street", "xX_MegaWeener_Xx", "Kate", "Fire", "Sky"]. To set whatever name you want just extract the game files load the intro.rpy file and change everyone of those fucking random names to the name you want to use and it'll change her name to that. Note that if the game is open and your sitting right before the random option you'll have to start the game new for it to use the name you set in the intro file.

Game seems buggier then fuck though. No matter how much food you have in the fridge and shit there will be multiple pop ups stating that the mom can't cook because there's no ingredients until you get a game over.

The dev fixed that bug in a few hours, and if I understand correctly, it's not something he could have spotted by himself (his testers didn't apparently either). So for an update of that scale, having basically one bug that unluckily happens to be game-breaking is something you can easily forgive.

Which sounds like no one bothered buying some food when they were testing as that's what I did and got the error right away.

All I get is exploring the empty house, no matter what I do it says I can explore more.

And who in their right mind thought a "household simulator" was a good idea for an AVN?

Because it's not an AVN? It's a sandbox. Also, when you're somehow able to miss an arrow that takes half the screen to tell you where to click to complete the task you're talking about, maybe you're not fit to say what's a good idea or not in a game.

You can't leave because you haven't explored the house and finished all of the events. Outside the FC's bedroom there's a attic trap door that you will have to click on and geta quest to get into the attic but you can't reach it so you have to go outside and on right side of the house there's a arrow that will pop up that takes you to the basement to grab a ladder. Once you get up in the attic and do what you can there then you can try to leave.

PROGRESS REPORT #53
Hello people, welcome to the 53rd progress report!
As always progress has been made, we have now progressed into a further level of progression. As a result, all the new renders for 0.3.1 have been rendered! Yay!
This includes the main dream sex scene, the side dream sex scene, the (short but wholesome) reward you get for buying milk, and the tutorial event when you go shopping with Eve.

So now, code. I had several coding tasks to do for this minor release, I have completed the bigger ones before starting work on the renders, so the bigger ones only need further testing and bugfixing now, and all I have to do are the smaller ones.

So I think the release could happen within 2 weeks. That is to finish the coding tasks, and take some time for proper testing. I also have to finish writing the walkthrough, which sounds tedious af, but I'll power through it for the love of gaming.

Streams. What are they? Or rather, WHEN ar they? Well let me tell you: soon, in the evening (UTC+1). You will get notified on my Discord. They should be about me programming the last coding tasks I have to do.

So... What now? Well now, you enjoy the teaser (if you're a subscriber).
I hope you all had a nice Halloween! Sorry I've been too busy to make a special seasonal render. Hopefully I'll be able to make some for Christmas. See you soon!
