You're too kind ;)

Huh? This line confused me. You make it sound like California isn't an english speaking area, or is this because of the whole soccer aspect. Americans play soccer too, and the team is O.C. Amazons, which is supposed to be a small time soccer club based in Orange county, which is just outside of Los Angeles. Only other thing I can see you saying leads it to being English, as in England, is the Amira's Family aspect, or that the MC is of Danish descent. Which isn't really an argument, because the LA area is almost as bad as New York as a mixing area of different Ethnic groups and cultures.

As for Jessie, she's short. Could she be perceived as teen? Sure, but that doesn't make her a smol. Short, thin, small breasted women who are over the age of 18 exist too. I figured she's like, 4 foot 9 inches tall or so, MC is prob 6.5 and Christa is 5'7 ish.

As a Side note, @Echo Foxtrot, as of the lastest version I played, I say this with much love: Fuck you for Sunshine, but I'm Glad to see the image you included post chapter end. I about lost my shit over that cliff hanger.
in the text of the game Jessie is referred to as smol. I didn't say she was or was meant to be, in the game it calls her smol.

The writer uses English idioms to to react to things and describe things. It's not the soccer part alone it is the language. If you want to focus on the soccer alone there are clues like references to vinnie jones and other specifics in the sports scenes. I think there was a date that was day month year at some point which is english. i think the soccer games are often someone vs someone rather than someone at somewhere. which are all english things. I can go through the game again and tell you where there are english idioms that wouldn't be used by americans or danes. I have lived in america, england and europe and have an english degree so I can. You will find it boring, I will find it boring, anyone coming across this thread will find it boring, but I'll do it to prove a point if you insist.

I also would like to dig a bit deeper on the 'LA area is almost as bad as NY' what do you mean by bad?

Sorry, maybe its a regional slang, I don't mean bad as a negative, but more as the intensity or volume. I was trying to say, for the mix of cultures, the LA area is almost as large or great mix of culture as NY is known to be. LA gets a lot of the Pacific immigrants, while NY gets a lot of the Europe ones. Both areas are a big mixture of cultures.

As for idioms, sure, I can see how some of them come across as English-esque, but even in my home region of the Pacific NW, some of them aren't unheard of (We get a lot of non-french Canadian Canadians here, as well as Asian immigrants that schooled in British education systems), so its not a major stretch, but I can see it being a point of bother.
