It seems like there are tons of games focused on vampires, and tons of games focused on demons. But why don't we ever get games where MC is a werewolf? Between World of Darkness and Twilight and the Underworld movies, it's obviously a type of creature that people enjoy and find sexy. And, since werewolves are shapeshifters, it gives devs tons of flexibility in terms of what kind of scenes the game has.

You want a perfectly normal, human-looking MC banging perfectly normal-looking girls? You can do that. You want a monstrous wolfman MC ravaging innocent college girls? You can do that, too. Hell, you could have MC in wolf form for the bestiality crowd.

Anyway, I think a game like that could be popular. What do y'all think?

I think one of the hurdles is the design/model.
If you use DAZ renders, you need an appealing werewolf model, I don't even know if there are good enough ones out there.
Illusion games (Honey Select and Koikatsu) are also very limited in that regard.

Pure text based games (many html games for example) do have werewolfs.

Have you played Monster College?

The MC is a werewolf.

There is Sims-4. Werewolfes appeared there two or three years ago.

That's a really good point.

Marketing basically along with technical difficulties, werewolves are cool, but vampires are more established and easier to promote, not to mention that creating a vampire story is much simpler, they have many story schemes to use and easier to implement than the werewolves that are more... basic. Add to all this how difficult it is to design werewolves, there are already many developers who complain about human hair, imagine one that is completely hairy, not to mention designing the way they attack and walk, I remember that in an interview the artist of Tarzan (I know it's not the same thing at all) complained about how difficult it was to give animal movements to the ape man.

Oh, I should have specified, I'm purely thinking in terms of AVNs. I don't think you need to worry too much about stuff like hair and attacks, because for most games, only the sex is animated, and I think you could get away without good fur physics in those.

Ah, since they talk about everything here I got confused, if it's just that, it seems to me that it is due to bestiality issues, let's see I'll put it simply, if it is a werewolf woman as a rule the designs will be more humanized up to the monster girl category or in the worst case furry, where he loses a lot with the tag, now if we talk about men it is simply uncomfortable, it seems to me for many people to create that type of scenarios and those who do not do it as a rule go directly to bestiality, or They are very reluctant or very complacent with that type of topic, there is little middle ground XD

Good point, Patreon might not want werewolf porn.
And you can't easily patch it in like with incest.

Serious question, do people just globally bring in less revenue on SubscribeStar than Patreon? I have a sense that guys like Jackerman do alright on SubscribeStar making content that's impermissible on Patreon, but maybe they're doing worse than I realize.

There's a concerning lack of canine girls in general! I blame cats and their mind control parasites.

A demon can be a demon and look human enough for sexy
A vampire can be a vampire and look human enough for sexy
Werewolves have to be either monstrous or sexy. Take Ravager; the werewolves are either monsters to exaggerate the horror of being raped by them, and a human looking girl with wolf ears that MC does the sexy with.

I remember their being a few games/demo's made in unreal engine but i don't know what happened with those 😟

The demand is there but the art isn't, that's why there are so many AI and Koikatu based games, amateur game developers who can get their heads around RenPy or RPGM enough to make a passable game but can't learn how to draw decent porn so have a computer do it for them. Good furry artists earn enough from their art to not need to bother with game development

you have em in Area69, been ages since have played, but you can probably even turn yourself in to one by now.
