Who would like to see a new 3D Dune game?

I know there's already a Dune game out there (Behind the Dune), but I think there'd be a pretty big interest in a Dune game using 3D instead of hand drawn assets. It wouldn't necessarily need to follow the story from the books either, even if it were just set in the universe I think there's plenty of material to work up a good story.

The story could be set around the Bene Gesserit and their breeding program for some illicit incest action, maybe set a story on Gedi Prime with the B&W aesthetic from the movie for some BDSM loli/shota stuff, or if you want to get REALLY weird, there's the Bene Tleilax home world with their Axlotl Tanks and all the creatures they could create (although thinking about this one I'm not sure where the assets would come from).

IDK, it's just an idea and I think there'd be a market for a good-looking game set in that universe.

The world building of dune is great and I would love to see more fan made stories based on it.

Desert Stalker is the closest representation of Dune we have. But yeah could be a great game if there's some non vanilla stuff.

Nah I'd love to see another proper RTS game and not that recent abomination by Shiro Games.

A proper SP offline open world RPG would a dream come true as well.

I couldn't find it here on LC (I think it's exclusive to that other game site), but if you just Google "Behind the Dune" it'll pop up in the search. I played it a long time ago when they first started making the game, but I didn't really care for the art style so lost interest after a while.

I think a great 3D Ren'Py game could be made set in the Dune universe, though IDK if there are any 3D assets made for the sets the game would require. I think the lack of assets may be the main reason we haven't seen anyone take a crack at making a game set in the Dune universe yet.

I dunno, I personally find Hand drawn to be far more appealing for something like this, and I've gotten quite attached to Balsamique's artstyle. while a more expansive story, or just more dune content in general would certainly be cool, I don't think 3D would work well for it. (especially not Koikatsu, or HS1/2)

Agreed, I'm kind of tired of games that use those assets. I was mostly thinking of Daz when I wrote the OP, but I'm not against a good 2D render if done well. I guess my main problem is I just didn't care for the art style in Behind the Dune and was disappointed to find that it was the only game set in a universe I love and one that I think holds so much story telling potential. I also thought there would be a far larger untapped market for some Dev to break into, however, judging by how little attention this thread has received it looks like maybe that market just isn't there.

I guess I'll just have to be satisfied with yet another Big Brother or DMD clone (but wouldn't those feel new and fresh if they were set in the Dune universe?).

I played the old Dune RTSGs, but i dont know if you can make a FPS game or something like that. Maybe an RPG/adventure game could work.
If we are talking a porn game, then yes, 100% would like. Specially if it has the Dune lore mixed with the porn
