discussion What's your least favorite minigame or part of a game?

For me it's either sandboxes or having to walk hours in some rpgm game just to see 2 cg's. Also the ones where you have to move your mouse through a maze since my mouse it too sh*t and my hands too shaky.

I dislike almost any mini game, most of the games I play are point and click or VN and then suddenly I have to do a quick time event or tap on the mouse which suck since I use a laptop.

Sandbox and repeated events to stack up an arbitrary number of points. "Go to work/gym/study". Spam click on a timer. Mazes. Challenging combat or anything that requires a bit too much concentration.

Anytime I am forced to play a racing mini game, that is mandatory for the story. I just quit the game all together. I think GTA4 had one at the start so I returned it after 45 minutes and got a refund.

Badly thought out sandboxes because you can get stuck or miss scenes due to a random stat or event. Forced puzzles also suck: "Hey I know we're in the middle of a date but you need to do this sliding tile puzzle before we can move on to the next scene"

Don't know if it's considered a mini-game but in games where you have to progress or get affection points, you have to go to a specfic place and time just to get one point and it advances the time so you have to so the same thing daily to get enough points for the next scene. At least put some variety in it, one CG even, something!

I dont think a lot of people would like mini games. After all dont think they come to sites like this to download a game just so they can play a mini game in order to progress past a certain point in the main game.

It is no matter what kind of mini-game there is. IF you add a mini-game you have to add a skip function.

Any mini-game. I just don't see the point. Show me the pr0ns. Either the mini-games are pointlessly easy or impossibly hard, in which case, I cheat them. That's not what I'm playing the game for.
