I'd like to see a game who doesn't feel it has to fit in a very specific category. Like we all know 85% of what to expect from a male protag game or a female protag game. There's a few other important tags like NTR or not, or specific gameplays like training or brothel management games, but overall there's no surprise at all. Only the art and the character design quality matters. You know the story already if you read the tags.
This abscence of surprise comes from the great minds who invented trigger warnings and who shit their pants if you spoil a movie from 40 years ago. Or from 2 hours ago. Cause people don't realise it doesn't matter what the story is, what really matters is HOW it's told. There's like 1% of exception to this rule when there's really a big twist but that's it. Anywyays, because of that, it seems like surprises or unexpected feelings are more threatening than a gun to the face for some people.
Tags should only say what the creator is 100% certain to never do, the rest should be free for him to create.
For example, imagine if tags just said : no futa, no gay content, no lesbians. No info about the rest. Fuck off.
Creator would be free to create 3-4 updates with the story of a nice Vanilla newlyweds couple, making love passionately, but suddenly in update 5, bankrobbers force their way in the house to escape from cops, they live there against the couple's will. Not very vanilla sex ensues.
OR the husband's niece comes live with them and the MC slowly becomes a raging ****. Will he be nice with the niece, will he be a bad guy, is he a super skilled manipulator able to convince his wife to have threesomes with him and his niece ? Does he tries that and fails completely and now his wife wants to report him to the cops ? Should he kill her to avoid prison ? Or should he lock her in the basement ?
OR the wife's hot mom comes to live in their house, which creates interesting drama too. OR the husband's super macho dad comes to live with them, for the cuck enthusiasts.
OR you suddenly play as the wife and the game alternates between male MC's POV and her.
OR there's a farm nearby and the wife seems very interested in a big black horse.
OR Aliens.
OR Superpowers,
whatever but something unexpected if possible.
Possibilities are endless if you grow up and embrace surprises as an element of erection boosting. And if you don't like the game because in update 5 the dev went in a direction you don't fancy, then fucking go play another game, there's hundreds and they're free and it's not like you need 200hrs to finish these games, most of them are done by 1 to 5 persons at best.
TL;DR : I only need to know what the dev will never do, the rest should be a surprise. Even possibily playing different characters, male or female. I don't need to identify with a character, like it's the only way to escape your shitty life. I just want a good story with good art. I don't even need a lot of choices, just interesting ones. Not "go to the party with red, blue or green dress ?" which take 250 years for dev to render and adds nothing of value.
If you're punching walls because you witness NTR and you weren't warned, stop being a little bitch.
Hopefully you'll agree with me less than 20 years from now.
