Like everyone else, posts are going to be like that till major changes happensDamn there is a thing called Search Engines, you know.
Oh well, I know you are just grinding for LC Coins and you probably have been using DAZ for years.
Wait, What? You have to choose a 3d Model Base to start and morph to whatever you find the hotest, stick with Genesis 8 and Genesis 9 - DO NOT USE Genesis 8.
My bad, auto correction, Fixed, Genesis 8.1 came in a very bad timming, they tried to give some improvements on how genesis 8 was doing on it's morphs, but they released Genesis 9 just a few months later, so Genesis 8 or Genesis 9 is the way to goStick with Genesis 8, Do not used Genesis 8?
Yes you can't because free assets are outdated crap. If you google you will find a lot of places where you may, caugh-caugh, borrow assets. A lot and latest. You need good NVIDIA GPU to use high quality realistic models and amount of VRAM is the most important thing: your scene is limited how much of geometry and textures you can fit in your GPU.I don't know if this post is legit or not but I have a real question about DAZ Studio.
I quickly tried it but I have the feeling that if you want good models and more (clothes...), you can't only use free assets...
There is web sites with free ressources ? Do you think it's possible to create a good game with only free assets ?
Maybe you can think it's a lack of motivation, but if one day I want to start a game, I don't want to be block because I have to pay too much to have the quality I target.
As an artist I agree, I am using Gen 8 still...My bad, auto correction, Fixed, Genesis 8.1 came in a very bad timming, they tried to give some improvements on how genesis 8 was doing on it's morphs, but they released Genesis 9 just a few months later, so Genesis 8 or Genesis 9 is the way to go
Thx for the answer, so my feeling was correct...Yes you can't because free assets are outdated crap. If you google you will find a lot of places where you may, caugh-caugh, borrow assets. I have no doubt about my GPU and my VRAM, but I'm not comfortable to spend money on something I don't know if I will be good at and I will like...
Maybe I can try to make some small demo with free assets. Renpy and DAZ seem simple to use (I mean if you want to do something simple)
I'm not disagreeing with you, but holy crap it's the most expensive free software ever. My poor bank account. It a Free 3d rendering program you can animated with it or used it to make pictures. All model and animation you need to buy and installed separately.
One thing to add is system RAM is also a critical resource. Had a render yesterday that needed 32GB of RAM to go through.. Having at least 48 GB of RAM is a good idea.Yes you can't because free assets are outdated crap. If you google you will find a lot of places where you may, caugh-caugh, borrow assets. Especially when you want to start speeding things up so you suddenly need 2 nvidia GPUs with a good amount of VRAMI'm not disagreeing with you, but holy crap it's the most expensive free software ever. My poor bank account.
Daz is a storefront, the goal of the software is to sell you products . Which tbf, is a reasonable trade given the other option is modeling and making everything yourself.I'm not disagreeing with you, but holy crap it's the most expensive free software ever. My poor bank account.
I'm slowly getting better at figuring out which assets are blowing out the memory for some tiny detail that I don't even care about but for some reason has a gazillion polygons and 16K textures.Especially when you want to start speeding things up so you suddenly need 2 nvidia GPUs with a good amount of VRAM
Don't get me wrong, I love it. It's just one of those "that's how they get you!" things.Daz is a storefront, the goal of the software is to sell you products . Which tbf, is a reasonable trade given the other option is modeling and making everything yourself.
With daz+ and a chrome add on called Daz Deals you can get many products for very reasonable prices.
Daz deals you say? HmmmmDaz is a storefront, the goal of the software is to sell you products . Which tbf, is a reasonable trade given the other option is modeling and making everything yourself.

Instancify is a must have if you're not rocking a ton of memoryI'm slowly getting better at figuring out which assets are blowing out the memory for some tiny detail that I don't even care about but for some reason has a gazillion polygons and 16K textures.
