I thimk, the level bar on user cards is a new feature that indicates a user's activity and engagement level within the community. It's a way to recognize and highlight members who are actively contributing and participating in discussions.

Which would be a shame. The actual comment count before the changes was very low, but the quality was much much much higher. Any comments on games were actually about the gameplay and could be used to determine whether playing the game was worth it.


Now the comment count is way high, but the signal to noise ratio is so low that the games have "looks interesting" etc, just so users can get their quota.


I am just as guilty as everyone else, making random comments that aren't spammy, but really don't contribute to the site as a whole. All for the elusive LC. I would much rather have a section truly devoted to games that isn't or can't be spammed for LC, that gives very good info about the games.


Having off topic discussions and such away from the games is fine, but the game comments should really be more valuable than they are.

Just noticed, and seems for now everyone is level 0. Hopefully it ends up something cool, like faster coins or access to other stuff (not meaning another way to lock people out of some games.)
