For me, it was:

1. The Guardian (was one of my first really well liked VN Games.
2. Single Again (I like the Art style and the Story)

What converted you to VN in General, and what did you like best so far?

I think my very first game was Daughter for Dessert, or it could have been dating my daughter.

My favorite's are probably Eternum (not my favorite girls, but the story is really good), and Bad Memories (because I get to play as a hot lesbian who fucks her sister)

Not sure the exact name, but Japanese VNs is what got me into VNs as a whole.

The crackdown on incest porn stories in regular mainstream porn (I owned on VCR the original Taboo and Taboo American Style movies before the tapes broke) meant that games were my only outlet in that regard (outside of creating my own captions physically on pictures, or now, with computer.) DMD was a godsend at that time.
