Due to a sudden unknown desire to post in this forum I've been going through the forum contributing to threads with what I would define as meaningful and unique replies that relate to the thread's topic, according to the "latest activity" section of my profile I've made 11 replies as of this post, yet the post count on the side of my posts and the "messages" on my profile as of now show only 4 (5 if this counts, edit: it did seem to count).

At first I thought posts in the off-topic section didn't count but then I noticed that 3 of the 4 posts that seem to count from the "messages" tab are from off-topic, so my question is, what actually counts as a "meaningful reply"?

Is it just slow to update? Or are they actually not counting for some unknown reason?

I can only see 10 posts in your profile page, 5 of them in off-topic.
So it seems to work as intended.

Edit: Yes the software need a bit to update, it would stain the system too much if it would do it faster.

Hmm, yeah it does seem like it doesn't count posts in off topic. My confusion came from the fact that the messages tab was only showing 4 posts (3 of which were in off topic) when my actual post count was also showing 4 but it has since updated to show all of the posts, so I guess it does take some time to update.

Kind of unfortunate that it doesn't count as the kind of things I would prefer to discuss here if any would be considered off-topic
