What about new users in a month?

So, this is a horrible nuisance because all n users are trying to post 167 posts in order to get their tag so they can go back to ignoring the forums and just downloading porn...

But in a month, we'll all have our access back (including the bad actors who just want to report the site) but new users will have to still post 167 new posts, and it won't be as acceptable because we're all forgiving each other how obnoxious it is.

I feel sorry for those perverts.

You get daily coins, additional coins for starting new topics, coins for likes, comments, reviews, profile views, trophies and more. 500 seems like a lot but it can be done fairly easily by talking for a few hours in general or rating games you have played in the past or whatever.

Yeah, 500/3 is 167 total posts. You can shorten it a bit by other means, but that's just an exchange rate.

Probably with the "vet system", if you're a new member but not a rat, maybe post some games you like or engage in a thread to prove you're a cool guy, and maybe someone who has a lot of coins will give you the rank, vetting for you

Other sites with this content need you a invitation or must pay before you can see anything, here have you another way and you can like so much you will, but not with a script that likes all of one site in a second.

I had the same thought. This system works now because we are all pushing for the same goal, but once a lot of start getting there and falling off idk what's gonna happen to new members (especailly those who have no idea the content their missing or why they should bother with this site over others).
Only time will tell I'm afraid, but I can't say I have an optimistic outlook long term.

honestly not sure how this is going to stop bad actors.

It just adds roadblocks to make it more annoying and push away those who dont have the will to get past em all. That said, this does nothing to stop someone determined to bring the site down. If their committed they'll do whatever they have to.

I'm also concerned that it could generate bad actors in the future. If someone joins not knowing about the members section, gets the coins and access out of curiousity, then panics and starts screaming and crying wolf without taking the time to actually look at anything. Someone who may have just steered clear of the site upon seeing it when first visiting, or who may have been more open/chill about it if they just came across periodically through normal browing (compared to an all at once jump scare).
