VN concept Idea

I don't know which category this belongs in, so I put in general chat...

I have been writing stories for fun for most my life, and recently started look at create a VN. I realise here it will be popular if it is a porn content, which is fine, but I have some strange ideas that I don't know if they will be popular, so, I will tell a couple of ideas that I am thinking about and if you guys let me know (please don't be nasty) what you think, then it will help me to decide more.

First of all, I have a vampire story, so, the basic idea is there is one female protagonist. she goes round looking for humans to turn to her thralls. The thralls in turn, can become sexual and enjoy seduce humans before turning them..... I didn't get very far with this idea because in my rl story the plot is a huge one and contains battles and clan war between others. In my story, it is based on Japan4ese protagonist, but in the VN, I am still try to figure out the rest of the plot.

I could even make the vampire story a mix of horror, sexual, and home based... Still thinking???/

Maybe the protagonist will be a home maker in her vampire cave, and the humans can be brought there for pleasure.. Anyhow, at least there is a theme... its vampire, and contain nudity and sexual or seductive scenes.. No idea if vampire theme will be liked???




The other one, I just thought about not long time ago... It involve stannic cult who perform orgies and strange rituals, so it can be both horror and sex. The horror could be creepy or comedy or both???

Anyhow, I know there is not much good plot to these ideas yet, but would people like these concepts in a VN?

Of course would people like it. Some will love it. some will hate it. some will ignore it.

The most reason to make a game/novel/story/whatever is. YOU have to love it. Only if you love it, it can be real good. If you make things just to please other, even for money, It can´t be as good as things you do, cause you love it.

I just don't know if the theme will be popular, but yes you are right, it could be good if written properly. I don't think I will make the satanic version, but I think vampire lust will be a fun project. Yes, some won't like this at all, which is normal.

I find that some games with, for me, subpar or less interesting lore can still enthrall me with style and charm. Maybe that only proves that I find lore less important.

yes, people would dig it. If the writing is decent, and the art is also decent, I would dig it too. Horror/sexual is not unheard of, so you have an audience out there

There are various games with vampire theme. Maybe the game can have training and/or domination aspects. You can even make 2 different games out of this idea, from the vampire or the human minion PoV

The important thing for me, is the writing. If the game is plot heavy, the focus should be there. IF its more just horror and lewd, then focus on the art

If it will be female protag, when you mentioned "cave", my mind went to a version of the old movie "Lost Boys", but in your story the lead vampire was a mother figure instead of male - she could turn disenfranchised young men into her own "hism" or something like that. Could get pretty dark if that's what you wanted. Don't know if you're looking to do an 18+ or something that would be M+ material.

I totally agree, the plot and writing quality is possibly the most important, follow by art.

The cave concept is basically their layer, and there are thralls and conflicts with humans, but I can make two version. One lewd and the other non lewd. This way I can reach both sexual market and maybe general VN world?

I don't want to make it the same as everyone else. Ok, sure, vampire theme is popular but I like something with its own unique plot. I have one idea from a story I write, but I will need change a ton to make it sexual based for place like LC.

Also, my protagonist, she is a very seductive and very manipulative leader and always get what she wants and her lesser vampires adore her for her strength. Anyhow, cutting out the rest, there will be plenty of sexual activities and I was consider to add some occult stuff. Not sure how to because need create scenes and not sure about how to.

100% I agree. This is certainly big part of it.

That is interesting, maybe also in gaming it can be quality of scenes also, but lore I think is part of it
