Is the quality of the VN associated with the graphics card? For example, is it better to use an RTX 4090 instead of a GTX 1080 to play better graphics, or is it the same, as well as with Android?
even if it's not static images and is animated, they're basically videos, no rendering in real time, so anything that can play a video is probably fine
Most vn are pre-rendered images so it won't matter but some games actually have real time 3d, in these case a better card will usually offer higher fps but most vn doesn't have a quality setting
When you play a (say, ren'py) VN, it makes zero difference. You just see ready-made images and videos. Any modern PC does that with ease.
When you create one, though, the difference is massive.
For VN based on RenPy or Unity you can use very old video cards - their capabilities are enough. But this cannot be said about games based on Unreal Engine. Developers in this case often neglect optimization of their games, as a result even top-end PCs start to slow down and overheat wildly. For this reason, I simply ignore games based on Unreal.
