I support the Linux option. It's not immune but it's definitely safer.yes you can if you don't trust the files
you can use sandboxie or a VM
you can check in ressource monitor what happening in real time (network and process) to see if anything weird goes
or use Linux, there way less attacks on it, but you'll need to master cli and the system
You cant run from the VN's they will find you and u will have to play...I support the Linux option. It's not immune but it's definitely safer.
If it got to the point I needed a VM just to run adult games I think I would just give up and become a monk somewhere isolated from civilization because things would be beyond fucked then.
That´s why i was thinking, and bc my job, i have already a VM going in my pc.Before this whole virus/malware thing I would have said that it probably was a waste of time. If hidden hacked malware becomes more prevalent this isn't a bad idea.
I run them from a VM. Works great, remove internet access not real mallware threat at that point.I got the idea from a question someone asked. Will it be necessary or has someone already done it?, to run VN games in a virtual machine? Is it recommended or simply not?
What VM do you use, and what OS?I run them from a VM. Works great, remove internet access not real mallware threat at that point.
Thats nice, but i dont want to port to win11 yet, i dont know it doesnt convince me hahaVMs are great, I think win 11 pro has VM so you dont need to install any VM
I run loads of VM's. Mostly on my TrueNAS box, for anything I do not trust I put it in it's own vlan and only allow the remote desktop port in through the firewall. What VM do you use, and what OS?
Thank you i'll test thatI run loads of VM's. Mostly on my TrueNAS box, for anything I do not trust I put it in it's own vlan and only allow the remote desktop port in through the firewall.
For these games specifically I run a Win 10 Pro VM.
You could achieve the same with VM locally (on your PC) in virtual box/vmware player/vsphere. Just make sure to remove the network adapter so the there is nothing the VM can connect to.
If you need any help let me know I'll help where I can.Thank you i'll test that
#otherthingsIt's a personal choice honestly.
I like having a VM solely dedicated for AVMs and other things.
