Coffee, that is. Tell me about your best cup of coffee. Beans? Grinder? Brew method?

Let's talk about a different kind of grind for a change.

For example, I got a fancy schmancy Ode (by Fellow) burr grinder as a gift a while back. Not something I'd ever spend the $$$ on myself, but holy crap is it a good little machine. I usually use a small drip machine but I have a collection of percolators that I've amassed over the years too. French Press and pour over are also on the shelf.

I don't grind, I eat those beans whole!

Nah, but honestly mushroom coffee is what I am currently drinking. My sister introduced me to it. I'm glad she did, because I start bouncing off the walls. Normally instant coffee doesn't hand my ass to me like mushroom coffee has.

The last time I had mushroom and coffee in the same sentence, it was college. And it was a very colorful experience :ROFLMAO:

I'm currently enjoying a medium roast arabica from El Salvador myself.. I usually avoid robusta because heartburn, and have yet to find a reliable source for liberica or excelsa beans. Still learning about all this stuff. Just like whiskey, the more I learn, the more I learn I have left to learn.

Well I do recommend mushroom coffee...the 'shrooms version too ;)

I'm way too addicted to Coffee as i stopped drinking and i need some sort of vice. It makes me more engaged in reading books, and playing games and watching movies. Its also bad for my add. I'm lucky i didn't pick up smoking as i chew gum like its going out of style.

I want to congratulate @roxx22 for a brand new thread which completely surprised me! Love it.
But coffee? I don't love... I actually don't really drink any hot-drinks at all (and no iced coffees either..). I'm more of a Water/Juice/Milk kind of bear

While I dig juices too, I also like a different go-juice with less sugar. Hence my search for the perfect cup of joe. Next on the experiment list will probably be the aeropress. But that will have to wait for Santa or a really lucrative side gig some day. Sadly the list of stuff I want but don't need is way too long.

After quitting drinking coffee every day; I had a headache for three days.
Now I enjoy it every once in a while.
I do appreciate the high-grade coffees but some instant Robusta will serve me quite satisfactprily

French press is really good so is cold brew. All i have at the moment until i buy a new coffee maker is instant and it sucks. Used to go to Fowles in Newburyport, can't afford that these days in these inflationary times. I also haven't been to Starbucks in a few years at least, and the last time i got coffee at Zumi's was like 15 years ago.

A couple of days ago i had Dunkin Donuts, awful. The tap water they use is insipid. They overbrew the Coffee and use way too much sugar, the milk and cream tastes old.

Me i just buy the beans use nothing but spring water for my Coffee, used to do distilled but not any more. I add very little sugar afterwards, just brew to the correct ratio of water and Coffee. I don't overbrew or leave it on the burner and i don't make mud. I do lactose free no milk.

I love coffee! Except decaffeinated one...
My favorite cup of coffee is a fresh brewed one. And canned vending machine coffee in Japan!

Bought a little espresso machine for myself about a year back. Seemed like a silly expense, but if you compare it to the cost of buying coffee out, it paid for itself in a few months.
