Really sad to see Subscene go! It was a lifeline for so many of us who rely on subtitles. Though streaming services are stepping up with subtitles, the community vibe and the sheer variety of languages Subscene offered will be tough to replace. A big loss for the global community that relied on it for accessibility and language learning. Will miss it!

Every time something closes down, its alternatives will gain value and quickly fill the void. We said the same thing about MSN and Winamp at the time. Now no one even remembers them.
