I don't know if anyone cares, but subscene.org is down.
That was the ultimate subtitle site.

Why did the site go down?
The system administrator has announced: "Hi everyone, im very sorry to be waiting this, but subscene cannot continue for much longer. It has not been paying for itself for several years now, visistors are falling, and maintenance cannot continue."

Really sad to see Subscene go! It was a lifeline for so many of us who rely on subtitles. Though streaming services are stepping up with subtitles, the community vibe and the sheer variety of languages Subscene offered will be tough to replace. A big loss for the global community that relied on it for accessibility and language learning. Will miss it!

Never heard of it. So makes sense

Every time something closes down, its alternatives will gain value and quickly fill the void. We said the same thing about MSN and Winamp at the time. Now no one even remembers them.
