What non Ren'Py games you wish had a Ren'Py port?

For me, I think the ones I'd like the most would be Daughter for Dessert and the developer's other project Double Homework.
I got pretty in Daughter for Dessert, but I think I don't have the save anymore and I didn't like the VN engine they used. I think any VN style game would vastly benefit from being on Ren'Py.

Some games that I played that weren't is Long Story Short and Timestamps: Unconditional Love/Timestamps: Lost Love, but for all it's worth they were pretty manageable, so even if I still think a port would be better, it's not as needed.

Now there are games that I stopped playing and see myself returning if this was the case: Man of the House, Lucky Mark and Holding Hands.

As for games that I didn't even start because of the engine: All of NLT Media's games, Taffy Tales and Something Unlimited

Off the top of my head, I think Hail Diktator would work better on Ren'py.

So I had not heard of Daughter for Dessert or Double Homework.
As an Android only user Ported versions are a pretty big thing for me.
After checking out the games briefly first thing is they are labeled other and not Ren'py so questionable if they can be ported. However it looks like there is a play online for free option on Dev's website. With the right mobile browser I'm guessing it's very likely those links would work fine.
Neither one of those or the surprising numerous others immediately grabbed my interest, however I will definitely get to checking that stuff out in depth in the future.
Thanks for the thread.
Luckily for me I have no Wish List ports ATM, because the few without actually work on Joiplay decently well.

There are a couple of games made with Unity I've come across that I wouldn't mind a Ren'py remake of, but I only note them for about 48 hours until Dev usually either doesn't reply to Android request or denied it.

Daughter for Dessert, as you would expect from the title, a incest game. I really liked it, but never finished. Double Homework I don't what the plot is, but the girls seems hot, so I'd like to play it, too.

I don't play on Android (Never got the appeal. Do you guys play those games in public or something?), but what I don't like on non Ren'Py games is that they're usually slow, with lots of transitions, you can't rollback, some don't even have a decent save function. So for me, almost all games would be better on good old Ren'Py.

Another one that I've dropped because of the engine are Octoberween Special. I forgot to mention it because it would belong on the Games+ section. I'm not used to talk about them on forums. :ROFLMAO:

Ah, okay. Yeah so I edited my post to add my last comment about Ren'py remakes, because I thought I might have been misunderstanding specifics of thread theme. The terminology is likely correct, but Ren'py Port usually refers to the Porting of a Ren'py Game to .APK version. Games or VNs not originally created as Ren'py modded to a Ren'py version usually just get a [Remake] notation applied to the title of the new version.
TL/DR : As far as I know, although I could be mistaken, Port = .APK version (AKA Android)

I've never seen anyone refer to Android games as Ren'Py Port, and I don't think it makes sense. It's called that way because it is a game in whatever engine that was ported to the Ren'Py one, hence the name.
Examples: Incest Story 1-2 Unofficial Ren'py Port, Long Story Short - Unofficial Ren'Py Port, Lucky Mark - Unofficial Ren'Py Port and My Girlfriend's Amnesia Unofficial Ren'py Port

For a already Ren'Py game to be ported to Android I think it would be Android Port, Android Version or something like this.

For Remakes, I've definitely seen people use the term "Ren'Py Remake" but in my opinion it would be wrong. Just like in normal gaming, if the game is the same, just for other platform or light adjustments, it would be an Port or an Remaster. For it to be truly a Remake, it would need to be redone with new elements: Different dialogues, different renders and such, just like some developes do to their game's early chapters when they have more experience and don't like how they started out.

I thought may be wrong and I was. Thank you for examples. I don't play any of those, and of course first one I checked out didn't have an Android or APK port, so I probably won't end up checking them out, but again. Thanks.

Not sure what exactly you mean about the text box but there has been a very good remake of Rick and Morty Unity game for a good number of versions now.
'Rick and Morty: Another Way Home - Version: [r3.9]
Appears nobody ever even bothered to post Unity version, have to say I agree there...
Funny you mentioned actually because this is pretty much my only experience with Ren'py Port or Remake and in this instance Remake. But still holds to previous explanation because not a simple port, dev takes files and remakes Unity game to Ren'py with different mechanics

I was gonna link you to the game but Blank beat me to it.
I've never played this one, only tried the original but instantly dropped. I think it was the text speed that wasn't customizable or something like that, I don't know.
It was only some time later that I found out that someone made a Ren'Py version, but then never downloaded it again.

I agree 100% about everything you write ,except the last sentence, i know a lot don't like rpgm games but those one are not like the other ,very easy to play NLT games are a must ! IMHO

Lots of reasons Unity games can cause players to do that.
Ren'py version is really good though. Full Mods and gallery and timeline jumping. Plus other story improvements. Pretty much takes art and open world like scenes from original and molds to a VN story far better than Unity game

Ahh, you should try it, i think its really good, maybe because i like the show too lol.

Absolutely nothing against Unity games, porting them is a monkey's labor, imho. And RPGM games I just don't know, because I don't play them. Nevertheless, looked at the island of pleasure's Top 200. What I found there from RPGM games: The Genesis Order, A Struggle with Sin, Teasure of Nadia, Peasant's Quest. I don't know how high quality these games are, but they seem to be quite popular.

To be fair, I didn't even try them, so I can't say how it is. But the ones I did try were really cumbersome.
I don't even like free roaming in Ren'Py, in which you can only go to different places to appear like you have more options and such.
In RPGM it is even worse, because you have to manually walk to the next locations, and usually using two hands to play (one in the arrow keys, and other on the confirm/cancel keys).
Almosto all the RPGM games I played didn't use any of the RPG mechanics, it was just walikng and talking, so why bother making an RPGM game at all?

Yeah, I'm not a fan of RPG and NLT Games artstyle, but I've seen A LOT of talking (good things, obviously) of the games, so I wanted to try it. But I don't really wanna go to the hassle of playing these types of games again. Like I said in another thread, the last one I've played I had to manually edit it in RPG Maker and create custom scripts to make it a little more bearable, but it was a lot of work...

Unity games in general for me. It feels many have the same feel of a Ren'Py game without some of the qualities of life that Ren'Py games seem to have. Unity games also don't seem to run as smoothly but that's probably just me.

Yeah. Many devs use Unity and make it so that the mechanics are identical than ones from a regular Ren'Py game. What's the point?
And indeed the ones I played seemed kind of laggy...
