The type of content is one thing but what about other aspects of a video game you don't like. Not discussing types of content, there are plenty other threads for that such as "NTR is shit".

For example what about:
UI (User Iinterface), Game Engine, controls, Fonts, Accessibility Options, Gameplay options, Resolutions, exclusivity, Audio settings, Video settings, Telemetry, DRM, Mods, Paywalls, Annoying advertisements, Long Disclaimers, File Size, Excessive tech requirements, Flash effects, translations, Anti-cheat implementations, etc.

Lack of (Pause, Gallery, Cheats, New Game Plus, Game Modes, game guides)


I didn't list everything and the ones I did are to give you an idea of what to touch upon. Of course in detail if you could.

Too short 0.1 (completed are fine), DAZ renders, performance issues like less fps than hz, day/time/night cycles where you have switch between times all the time or back track to sleep to continue.

Insecurity/fear in games can be off-putting too, like adding 18+ characters only warning, making characters look older in fear making them too young. Content warnings.

The stupid content warning is a big peeve of mine, for my games I added a PDF read me in the game's folder and a non obtrusive warning in the info section. I do not feel like it is a requirement that I have to do. Besides it wastes seconds of a pointless splash screen warning or "I am 18" button prompt. It comes of as too politically correct and It's also very annoying dealing with that every time you start up a game.
Game devs need to do it in a non intrusive way if they really have to put that damn warning. I've seen many Japanese games without it by the way.

I think the whole "All characters are 18+" is bullshit as well, because honestly that's some stupid shit.I refuse to comply with that nonsense. My characters are lolis and under 18, so whoever has an issue with it can go fuck themselves.

Intentionally not making the content people want to milk subscriptions. ( still waiting on a good rosie scene). Devs changing the look of their characters. I understand why they do it but I still dont like it.,

When you can't rollback or the save page is so confusing and little in terms of space, that it makes you value every single save. It sucks man!

In Porn games:
When the game gets past a certain length and doesn't include a gallery or easy way to rewatch lewd scenes. I'm here for the story but ffs sometimes I want a quickie.
In General:
The communities seemingly getting worse, every game trying to exploit FOMO

Broken saves. Having to start over months, to years after a game is in progress. Dev constantly remaking, and Dev milking.

Ren'py: Those animated scenes that takes like 3sec to transition when trying to save the game with no way to disable them, or right-clicking and come into a secondary menu having to navigate to the save window.
 
I despise anti-cheat/DRM systems that hook so deep in the kernel of the OS that even Hotkinkyjo would be jealous about how deep they get in there.
Nowadays, I pretty much only play some Ren'Py games every now and then, and even then I also saw some developers implementing some sort of anti-cheat/anti-extract mechanisms which were somewhat annoying. An example of this that stuck with me was Wicked Paradise (formerly known as Desired Love), which – in some version – deleted the entire content of the game directory when it detected that the RPA files were extracted. Another thing that irks me with Ren'Py games are hard pauses: when a developer chooses to use renpy.pause(…, hard=True), so one cannot skip it unless one enables skipping in options.

tl;dr: overzealous anti-cheat/DRM mechanisms, especially for single player/offline games

For any game having to go through countless menus to get to a commonly used action. At that point add quick access.

DRM is useless and just fucks over the people who paid for the game.

Also Fuck Capcom for adding DRM to old games to stop modding.

forced lewd scenes in non KNS, also VNs that claim the player is in control of outcomes but then dont give choices for important things just stupid things like peeking or not
 
Too many characters to bang, I'm fine with 3 or 4 but when they start adding more it begins take away scenes from characters you want to bang or continue the story with.
