Christmas Special
Here it is people, the little My New Family Christmas special. This one happens a few months after the ending of the epilogue, with all the children born etc. Usually, I don't make these kind of seasonal specials, but since I'm not able to fully work on My New Memories at the moment, I decided to at least give you guys this to build a small bridge until I can return to it in full effect again. It's a bit longer than your average MNF day, so I hope this will give you a smile during the holidays!
Also, you don't need any saves for this one. Just start a new game and enjoy! But you should have finished the epilogue, or nothing of this will make sense!

Spoiler: Dev Notes

Starting with 0.7 you guys will get persistent savegames. You probably know this from other ports already ( especially the ones made by the66 ). What this means is that when I release 0.8 you don't have to manually back up your savegames anymore. You can delete 0.7, update to 0.8 and get to keep all your savegames. This means that the app needs rights to write on your external storage ( you will get a prompt when the game launches ).
The old savegame location is
/Android/data/my.n.family/files/saves/
. The new location will be
/Android/data/RenPy/MyNewFamily-somenumbers
. So make sure to copy your current savegames into this folder once you updated to 0.7!
IMPORTANT: You will most likely get an error when you load your savegame. Click on “Rollback” a few times until you see an image again. This should fix it. Alternatively, you can load a savegame from 0.16 if you still have one.
IMPORTANT: In order to play 0.15 (chapter 10+) you have to have finished 0.14 (chapter 1-9) and use the savegame you're prompted to create at the end.

Another week, another progress update!

I didn't expect that so many of you would like the lewd render I posted last week. But I guess you're also really looking forward to spend some time with Sophie in the sauna once Chapter 4 releases, right? Not sure who I will post this week. I'm leaning towards Sabrina, it has been a while with her...

Okay, let's talk about My New Family. As you might remember, this last chapter of MNF will be rather different than every other chapters we had before. It won't start one day after the wedding ( or the regular sleep time when you didn't go the true ending route ), it will start three weeks later. You can probably guess why, because a certain ginger ( that is totally in todays progress update render, which I made using the "improved" honey select ) might be a little bit further developed regarding a certain thing. While the update itself will still be "Day" based, it won't be a regular week. For example, once the first day ends, time will move forward a little more ( by two weeks, probably ) to show the pregnancy progress of other girls that got pregnant at a different time. It will losely follow the order, with Sandra being the first and Maddie being the second ( Maddie will also show signs of a growing belly on the first "day" of the update already ). Don't worry, you didn't miss anything big during these "time skips", and anything that happened will be mentioned during talks with the girls. It will be super cute, I think, especially the interaction the MC has with the girls that are already showing their pregnancy.
This will also help with progression regarding certain "sidegirls". For example, on the first day of the update, you will have the opportunity to visit Celeste, Ida's little sister. This will be one of the moments where you can decide if you want to romance her or not - And if you do, you will progress further and further on the following "days" of the update. While you will meet a lot of them, the focus will still be on the household members of course, because the wholesome interactions you'll have with them, especially when they are pregnant, will be as sweet as you can imagine. Especially a little cat will be extremely cute once her clothes start to stretch a little more...And her powers come into effect as well. Not going to dive too deep into this fantasy part, but I do plan to make some very interesting interactions with Lucy and her features, especially regarding the possibility that hers and mcs daughter could inherit her features.

Let's talk a bit about My New Memories as well. While my focus is on MNF atm, I did write a good part of the first event of chapter 4 already. It will continue right away where chapter 3 ended, so you can probably imagine how emotional and important it will be. There are a lot of things that will be cleared up that some of you guys have been asking about, and I'm pretty sure you will like what I'm going to do there. Ther e is of course this other thing that happened at the end of chapter 3, that you heard via phone. This will be cleared up pretty fast, though, so you don't have to worry too much about a certain blonde girl that often loses her temper. Let's just say that the MC will have some strong arguments that will kinda confirm that her bad feelings are not only because of the MC, but also... Other persons, that are not present anymore. That's all I'm going to say. What I can promise is that Chapter 4 will not take as long to release as Chapter 3, because the content I will be writing for that update will be "easier" for me now that the overall mood will shift drastically towards pure wholesomeness with no drama.

This is the toughest post I ever had to make and I still can't believe this shit is happening right now. First, let me copy what I already posted on discord on Thursday...
Okay, I know that was kinda scary and super vague, and even worse, it was technically wrong ( not blackmailed, I'm getting framed ). I didn't want to worry anyone, but I wanted to keep you guys informed in case it will take longer than it did in the end. So I have some bad news, some super bad news and some neutral news.
I'm getting framed. Someone is framing me and now I'm getting accused of being some kind of crypto scammer. Everyone that knows me knows that I hate crypto, but apparently whatever evidence was provided, was enough. I got raided by the cops. They confiscated all my pcs and my phone. They took all devices that I had for backups at my place. That is the super bad news.
I'm super crippled in my ability to work atm. For some reason they didn't notice ( or didn't care ) about a Laptop I had ( it was still in its packaging behind other packages ). I have a backup copy of Honey Select on my own server, which I could download, and regarding the script I was just able to download the latest MNF beta and continue working there. So, I should be able to continue work on MNF without any big issues ( except the laptop handicap, I guess ).
Here comes the bad part, though: My New Memories and my DAZ3D assets. They are on my pcs and the external ssds I had. And they are with the cops right now. I have an appointment with an lawyer tomorrow, since this is some serious shit. I will tell him that I need these things for work and that I want them back. In germany, the cops usually just mirror your hard drives and then work with those copies. So I hope that this can be solved sooner than later, but I don't have a timeframe ( or know if I'll get anything back at all ). I only have the assets for Bethany and Sabrina in my mega cloud, since my daz3d in general is over 1TB big. So I have no idea when I can continue work on MNM, since this stuff is so fresh and I didn't talk to my lawyer yet, everything is kinda in the open.
I made this post on thursday on Discord, once I got access to my phone number again so I could log into my accounts. The appointment with the lawyer was... Okay, I guess. He told me that he will ask the police to check the external ssds ( that contain my daz3d files ) first, and if they are clean ( which they are ), hand them back out to me again. The shit news is that he doesn't have a timeframe for it, but he told me right away "I can't get your hopes up that it will be solved super fast". He has to request access to the case files, which might be fast or not fast.
So, what's the plan now? Honestly, I have no idea. I already put a shitton of effort into Chapter 4 and now I have no idea when I can get back to working on MNM. These investigations can take weeks or even months... Which makes me insane. I'm literally going insane because this is my life, working on these games for the last four years has been my life, and now it's being threatened with some bullshit that I didn't do. I know the cops have to investigate but...I don't know. This is way too much for my mental health to handle, to be honest. I had a breakdown on wednesday when it happened and the last few days it was actually the same. I just don't know what to do anymore. Yes, I can finish MNF, but my plan was to finish MNF and then work on Chapter 4 so I can release it this year. Should I work on MNF ? I have no idea. I can't just recreate the characters or else I would. I know it was stupid from me to not upload at least the character files somewhere online, so I can use them. Finding and downloading the other assets is no problem... But I can't recreate the characters just like that. It's just... It's just too much for me at the moment. And the only thing I can do is wait for my lawyer to do his job.
My move is more or less done now and I'm in the new apartment, and what was planned to be a new start to a better life quickly became the literal worst days of my life so far. And as the saying says, it can always get worse. I just hope I reached rock bottom and now it's time to climb back up...

I found this game quite some time ago, and loved it, however I had to drop it for awhile as some of the writing got very same-y. When what would be a day or two goes by in game and everything is repeating 'we don't spend any time together' when they just spent time together yesterday or the day before. Most of it came from not seeing a character much or at all in an update, but it still got tedious when it felt like that was 1/4 of the dialogue every update.

However, I still loved the story and the characters. Sun was cute and sweet, and Lucy was awesome, she was honestly the main reason I kept coming back.
