Summer Games Fest revealed some new game trailers today, and for the most part it was underwhelming. However, I was hyped about the announcement of Civ 7 and am excited to see actual gameplay in August. Black Myth Wukong looked somewhat intriguing to me based on some old gameplay footage as well, but I'll wait for reviews for that one - never heard of that chinese developer before.

I am also debating on whether I should purchase a new GPU now when I can, or wait for the 5000 series from nvidia. I am afraid that with the AI hype surrounding nvidia, it'll be impossible to get the 5000 series for a reasonable price (like below 2000). Not sure if I'm willing to gamble on my chances later in the year.

Curious what kind of upcoming new game releases people are most excited about, whether it's slated to release later in 2024 or 2025? (I was excited for Elder Scrolls 6, but Starfield killed all my hype for that game)

As a person who always waits a year or two to buy games (not so much for the price but to fix the different bugs, add content and so on) honestly there are not usually games that I wait in advance, as a rule I forget about any release and in A few years ago I got an offer because I put it on my wish list and I remembered that I wanted that one XD

But to continue the thread I think for now it would be Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero, let's see how they mess up with the character table.

I wonder, waiting for the Elden Ring DLC right now, so there is that, technically the Hunt Showdown Engine upgrade could count and then I guess Star Wars Outlaws, tho not sure if that will be any good, still, I am having a eye on it.
Well, then Space Marine 2 would come to mind and after that it gets blurry, I am sure there is other stuff I am interested in, but those are the ones I am properly waiting for.

do you think the dlc will be easier or harder than the og game

ncaa 2025 is it for me haha
To be honest, I didn't even know they made college sports games. Looks like you don't have to wait too long before release. Hope it's good fun for you!

That's a pretty good policy to save on money. My policy is never pre-order and wait for reviews always, but I will buy games after full release if I find it worthy. Last game I bought was BG3.

Elden Ring is one game I've heard lots of praise about, but never tried. How's the performance on PC these days? I heard it was kind of stuttery on launch.

Thanks! Been a long time since a college football game was made, hence my excitement.

Many of the new releases would require me to update my PC, so I may not play them for a while. Besides that, I'm focusing now in older games that are actually good. There are TONS of older games that are really good and haven't play yet. And, stupidly enough, I may be even closer to play older games that I already played and enjoyed.

I am hoping they show stuff for State of Decay 3. Slightly interested in the new Dragon Age, but I would rather see a Dragon Age Origins remaster or remake. I read something the other day about potential remakes of Resident Evil 0 and Code Veronica. if that is true, I am pretty excited because I actually liked 0

Can't wait for the elden ring update now that they shown off martial arts movesets.
DS2 bonefist was fucking fun as shit

I'm not serious enough about games to keep track of new releases. Especially new releases in the xxx genre.

No idea :D I thought Elden Ring was quite well balanced, personally I wouldn't mind it being harder, but I am someone that plays weird builds and no summoning stuff, so a good step behind no-hit-run or "level 1 playtrough", but probably a bigger step away from casual players and it is always a bad idea to balance a game for the relativly small number of people that have maso tendecies xD

Tbh, I had never any problems, even on release day, so I can't really say anything about that :D but fromsoft games normally run very well on PC, so if there were problems for others at launch I would guess they fixed that pretty fast.

The new Subnautica should be out in 2025. Pretty stoked for that.

Kind of interested in Valve's upcoming shooter. I'm itching for a shooter to play and the current popular ones don't do it for me.

Me too. Subnautica is awesome.

For me, I fell in love with the trailer for "Judas". it's the first game since Bioshock infinite from Ken Levine and it looks so good.
