I find myself wondering what a lewd game would be like if it was based off of MTG. Would it be a sandbox?
How would you trade cards or get better cards? So many questions, anyone else wonder about this? Leave your thoughts below!
 
There are a few card-combat AVNs, most of them just have fights that are resolved by card battles and you get new cards by winning fights. Simple enough.

If I were designing one specifically for MTG, I'd take that and make the MC a newly discovered planeswalker who gets wrapped up in whatever multiplanar mess- the Phyrexian wars, e.g. Game could be a mostly standard VN or sandbox game with fights that are resolved by Magic games. Win a game an mumblesmagicmumbojumbo which makes your magic grow stronger i.e. you get cards (maybe each match gets you 1/4 of the way to opening a new pack or something (or maybe winning a match gives you XP, and you can spend variable amounts of XP on anything from a single random card to a pack with guaranteed rares/mythics)). That pretty much takes care of the setup right there. Still gotta add all the rule logic and everything which is probably a colossal nightmare for an indie dev.

Trading would be more difficult if you want it to be between players, since that would likely require an internet connection and servers and that gets messy with an adult game. But you could always just have NPCs that will trade with the player.

I would play a game where you bet on sexual things and win or lose by playing MTG.

A game where you win sexbot AI companions by beating decks would probably be fun for many other people and have better gameplay than most AVN games.
 
just make a sex mod for
it's basically a roguelike
just make the quests reward you with lewds in addition to cards ;P
 
If the cards are the accurate representations of the people who play MtG, then the world must never allow this to happen :eek:
 
The best MTG game would be a single player (with a simple multiplayer option) with a planeswalker protagonist having a specific class with certain abilities. Battling would yeald you xp and cards in an rpg-sandbox progress thought one of magic's worlds, fighting other important figures and so on.
Pretty much an improved version from the 1997 MTG game.
