Yo. As the title says, I'm looking for English VA to bring the story to life. This game is anime style. And must be in English.

Before going any further, I'm looking for volunteers. I'm unable to pay anyone anything but can credit you and add your patreon/substar/whatever to send support your way if at all possible. (Yes, you deserve the support, too.)

Also, keep in mind that this game has a lot of paths. Can be straight, gay, or lesbian. Whichever. Only one trap.

You guys will also see some secrets not meant to be shown yet. This is very important and I will ask that you keep this to yourself.

My only rule is that if you choose to pick this project, you'll need to see it through.

There's a LOT of dialogues. But instead of adding it to the main game folder, I'll be treating the VA as an add-on because these audio files will probably reach over 1GB, if not 2GB or more and some people can't download that much due to low internet speed or spaces on their PCs.

You are free to comment in here or send me a DM. It's up to you.
These are the list.

If you're curious and want to VA but you're unsure of the quality, etc...
https://lewdcorner.com/threads/yours-truly-me-0-2-0-empty-ears-games-studio.3908/ <- Link to my game but keep in mind, it's being remade. Look in the comments of the game thread for more information.

Also, please note, the MC is the ONLY ones the VA won't say their names. And that's because of the whole renamable stuff. Everyone elses are good. It's solid. It is also a HORROR game but nothing too gorey.

Dialogues Remake is currently only 10% done.
Chapter 0 is finished
Chapter 1 is ongoing.

Chapter 0:
1100 lines. Completed. Will not be released until Chapter 5 is done.

Tried to do it, myself, but failed. If anyone knows any AI Voicing program and if it's realistic enough, I don't mind and will still credit you as a VA. Just need to be realistic enough that most would believe it come from an actual person.

About AI voices, is it possible if the characters would be voice by vocal synth characters as in Vocaloid and Synthesizer V?

Is it English? Do they sound realistic enough?

It really depends. Either some vocal synth characters have either English voicebanks, Japanese voicebanks or both. Some users used those voicebanks to make them speak instead of singing in a form of Talkloid.

I would have to hear it. Need to be English. Can you give me an idea on how they sound?

Somehow, I think most would find it a turn off to hear a woman talk with a deep voice. 😅

Eleven Labs is what I use. It's pretty solid and can imitate any voice if you can find a couple minutes of them talking. Not great at moaning, though.

Aye. I got my eyes on it. Really hate the renew every month thing, though. Thought about going for RVC but my current PC isn't strong enough to handle it.

RVC is more geared towards singing and still requires audio to convert. ElevenLabs is far more versatile and generates realistic audio off text prompts. I've made an entire radio play with their AI voices and pulled a full dramatic emotional range. The one thing that it sometimes has an issue with is getting intention and inflection. Like it has a hard time understanding what kind of "What the fuck?" you need. An exasperated "What the fuck?", a confused "What the fuck?" etc.

Lol. I'm dealing with a bit of sappy shit. Trying to get that "Hey, babe!" to not sound like Elvis is a bitch to do. I ran out of quotas, though. Lmao.

Do you use things like audiacity or any audio program to manipulate the voices?

Nope. I mostly stuck with Eleven labs, sometimes you just need to reroll generations. Also messing with the settings like stability really makes a difference. The AI also takes a lot of cues from your writing. For instance, describing the tone and emotion behind "Hey, babe!" tells the AI into what your going for, ie. 'He said, surprised, "Hey, babe!"'

I would recommend you use Audacity. No need to get rid of anything. Can make the voices flat, echo-ish(reverb), change their pitch, and even control the volumes better. Can also change the audio format if some audio doesn't work with Ren'Py.

As for the rest, with describing emotion, I learned that too late. Lol. Same with stability. Moaning, I think is doable once you figure out how to slow down them ohs and ahs. Laughing is harder.

Oh I use audacity, and do a lot of sound design for my games nowadays. I mostly re-roll to get the right delivery that I want. I made this a while back to see what it would sound like if I voiced a Scene in burned

It's not bad at all. I don't know why but I get this nostalgic feeling from GTA Vice City. Used to love that game until San Andreas came out. Lol

This was made with ElevenLabs and your voice combined?

No. Purely Elevenlabs text to speech. Sasha is actually voiced by Miley Cyrus. lol.

Tried to do this and follow the tutorials. Git Clone [link] would not work at all on my end. I may have to wait until I get my main PC up and running. Which requires a GPU since mine fried up. Thanks, though.
