Is a censored game even playable??

I have found ONE, just ONE, censored game that I have enjoyed despite being censored... (And that game could have been so much more...)

Generally now if I see a game is censored, I don't even give it a chance anymore... Am I alone in this? Should I be giving more games a chance?

Please let me know your thoughts on censored games!

My query goes towards anything censored... But probably leans more towards the Japanese games as these tend to pique my interest a little more.

I just skip past censored games. It's not so much about the censoring although I would find it distracting. It's about the fact that they are usually also MTL and Japanese and I don't really care for the artistic style of most Japanese games. I already don't have enough time to play everything I'm interested in; I'm not gonna waste time trying them on the off chance I find a hidden gem.

I'd say, I skip censored games. I'd prefer a text based game to a censored game.

The problem (for me) is that Japanese games/VN are sinful with censorship. And I can't play them even with the uncensor patch - I'm repulsed by the graphics. I haven't noticed mosaics in European or American projects.

i normally just look up if the game got censored and then get the uncensore patch. but my awnser depends on the game. some games put porn in just to attrach more users, since sex sells. but the game often is often more focused on the story. you can see it like that how often did you start playing a vn with sexual content (if you ever played one.) but stayed because of the story. i had serval games like this een sex focuses game there i keept playing because of the story.

but most games you can avoid the censoreship. even if dosent have a uncensore patch. as example for japanese mosaci. i go into the game files take all the images. and use ai to uncensore them. can work quiet well but it depends on the game.

Censored games suck. I love the Japanese but they seriously need to get their shit together.

That being said Monster Quest Paradox and the original are very good lewd RPGs that are unfortunately censored.

I went with "sometimes" although I would say most often, yes. I would add the caveat that if the images are horrible even without the censorship I wouldn't play it anyway so....

Japanese hentai games are usually censored but it does not bother me that much to be honest.

japanes censore laws are outdated. if im remember correctly they came from ww2. and jp takes this stuff more serius then other countrys.
