Interaction with Firefox or site changes?

Is the website having issues with certain browsers?

Several days ago the site started moving very slowly for me, taking multiple refreshes to get pages to load, multiple attempts to get posts to take and for the simplest of functions, such as reacting and replying. I'm not having trouble anywhere else and have been using the same browser, same plug ins and same VPN site consistently. There was a Firefox update close to the same time, but not certain about the timing and whether it is likely to be that or changes made to the site itself. Started, I think, the same day that "Prestige" became a thing (rather than VIP & VIP+) and the announcement about the work being done on the VIP area.

Thoughts from folks that know about the site architecture and traffic stats?

I've not had issues with this site directly on firefox, but I do believe firefox is using a lot more memory and power than It used too just recently. It's been lagging a lot more I finally caved and switched to Chrome lol

Ive noticed that too..the memory suck on Firefox has gotten bad.. If i leave FF up itll creep to about 4-5gb

I've never had good luck with Chrome and pretty much despise the product. Don't like Edge either, but have always had good luck with FF until about the last year when an update in December messed with my Disqus account logins on a couple of sites. Got that fixed, but then there's another update near the time of current troubles. Kavinsky chimed in that it's likely the theme, which would also fit with the timeline and the fact that I'm not having trouble on any of the dozen or so sites I traverse on any given day, including another very similar to this. Hopefully all the changes going on here will settle down and I can see how things work when the site becomes more stable from a development perspective. As it is, it defeats the purpose of putting the "rewards" system in place since it is taking me exponentially longer to do any single thing here.

I do find it really interesting, though: I've made no changes on my side, but the site I'm having trouble with (the only site I have trouble with, BTW) has been making all manner of changes, and the folks here jump right to "operator error". That's some real high-level, high-IQ analysis right there.

if its on the current theme im not sure, new theme shouldnt have any issues with u cause u cant use it.

It is not the theme. No one else is having issues that have been reported. Maybe if people behaved their time on the site would be more pleasant. I bet its fixed in a day or so.... Only because I know how to fix it...

I can't confirm problems with Firefox, and I don't have a fast PC with a lot of main memory.

It is not the theme. No one else is having issues that have been reported. Maybe if people behaved their time on the site would be more pleasant. I bet its fixed in a day or so.... Only because I know how to fix it...

I have the exactly the same problem.
LC is the only site where I have these issues. Now I use Opera for LC and FF for everything else.
But I think it has to do with something on my end. I tried resetting FF and the problem was gone (at least for the 20s I was on LC after) but I had to revert it because of other problems. If nobody else with FF has this problem I might have to suck it up, reset FF and try to solve the other issues that come with it.
But I just wanted to say that I have the same problem

So, for now its working again.
I made a backup of my settings and reset FF, loaded the backup and then I cleared cookies and cache.
I don`t know what did the trick there so try to clear your cookies and cache first

Your site experience should be better now. When you act like a Tosser your gonna get tossed..... YES the reason why you had issues while on LC was because of options I have to discourage you when you act like a sss. You thought of everything else it seems but the way you had acted on the site before it started. I have removed it and now you should be fine as long as you don't act stupid and get reported to me MULTIPLE times and yea unless you didn't get the memo you where told to knock it off and didn't. If you need a refresher on the site rules there is a link in my signature. This time it was a simple discourage. Next time it will be a temporary ban. 3rd time. . . . So behave while on the site. I am the one you don't want the mods to come to next time.
