that is good adviceKeep in mind that people like a game, so if you give players the option to make choices, they should change the outcome. And that also directly poses the challenge, how to keep your game from branching wildly in all possible directions so you don't end up having to render for 50+ different storylines while a player might only see one of those.
While not entirely true, since 3Delight is still a thing, you would mostly be limited on the quality of the models and environments since you would need to use all older stuff that actually has the 3Delight shaders, or make/add your own. Even the Filament renderer is a possibility, although it is, IMHO, more trouble than it is worth to adjust all the shaders that need changed to get a decent picture out of it, and frequently requires a lot more post-work than you would need with a native I-Ray render. If you don't have a decent NVidia graphics card, you aren't going to be able to use daz to make images
So.. basically.. you need an Nvidia card And more importantly you need a GOOD one with at least 6 GB of VRAM but more is definitely preferable unless you want to be spending a ton of time in post-work mixing multiple renders togther into a single image. While not entirely true, since 3Delight is still a thing, you would mostly be limited on the quality of the models and environments since you would need to use all older stuff that actually has the 3Delight shaders, or make/add your own. Making a crappyAs you read in the title, I would like to create a Ren'Py game. Do you think it's difficult? Has anyone tried it? I would like to know your experience with this.
I haven't heard that name in years, still active somewhere? It's very possible to start from nothing. ShinyDevon, when they started One Summer in Loliwood, had 0 game dev, programming, and daz3d experience.
At that point, I'd just learn blender if you have an AMD card. While not entirely true, since 3Delight is still a thing, you would mostly be limited on the quality of the models and environments since you would need to use all older stuff that actually has the 3Delight shaders, or make/add your own. Not afaik, I haven't chatted with them in a bit, I think real life's got them pretty slammed.I haven't heard that name in years, still active somewhere?
