It appears that on this forum "What you see is what you get" ain't exactly "what you get".
When I write a post and wanna add some images, they appear in one way while writing the post, but when I post it, the visualizations disappear and it doesn't work anymore the way it looked like in the beginning. For instance, if you post an imgur gallery link (just the link, nothing else), it will be visualized when you press "post thread". But if you decided to surround the link with spoiler tag, it gets broken and isn't visualized at all. The same applies to hotlinking an image. If you add just the link to the image, it gets visualized at first but when you post the topic/the comment, the visualization gets broken.
Here are two screenshots that show what things look like while you're writing the post and then what will they look like after you post your thread/comment. For the screenshots I use the top right corner function for "Preview" but it clearly displays what happens once the comment is posted.
And you may have to click each of the links for these screenshots cuz I'm not sure which one and whether at all it will be visualized.
