Even in small countries, there are differences between regions.
So I'm always wondering how big countries vary from region to region, people who live in big countries have ever felt a big difference.

Europe's countries aren't that big compared to others, but they are culture wise pretty old and diverse. You could drive from one end of a country to the other end and you might feel like you are in a whole different country. And even if the language as a whole is the same, its dialect can be vastly different.
At times even the neighboring village can be very different.

I agree. Especially when there are a lot of differences in linguistic terms, I get more curious about this.

It varies a lot obviously, with geography, culture, history and much more

I live in the largest country, and there is not much difference between regions

The US varies a bit by region. You have the topographical differences of course from having diverse climates, but you have changes in the demographics as well. A lot of the changes in demographics have to do with political climates of the states. Somebody from Texas isn't going to see eye to eye from California generally since they're pretty dichotomous politically. Conservative areas are far safer than a lot of liberal ones as well. The cities with the highest per capita murder rate are all pretty much blue cities and that's not really a coincidence, Baltimore, St Louis, Oakland, Nashville, New Orleans, New York, pretty much the entire state of California is a dystopian hellscape. So yes there are definitely differences.

Yes, I live in a big country and there are a lot of differences in accents and customs between regions, and some even hate each other.

I'm from a big country and we have our differences but It's definitely not drastic. But this really depends a lot on the history, geography and politics of the countries and not necessarily its size.

I live in a big country, and it's mostly just some different words for some things.

I've been told that in a big country dreams stay with you, like a lover's voice from the mountainside...

I live in a big country, but in poor region.

Not so bad, but stressfull.

I've never noticed much difference.

I live in a large country and the difference is noticeable.

Not only do US states feel like different countries, sometimes there is that much difference from county to county.

Depends on the country, I suppose. As someone who has bounced a lot, some big countries are fairly uniform. Others? The subsections called provinces or states might as well be different countries due to differences in:

-Age of consent
-Age of alcohol use
-Access to medicine
-Access to home defense

The list can be pretty big... OR... it's the same in every state / province. No size fits all...

i lived in a small country, not such big difference between regions, but In the bigger one hmm, worst is when they come from different parts in one city, hard to understand some of them, but you get used to it

I live in a country that is about as big as Europe, so going to a new state is a bit of an effort. People in other states still very much feel of the nation, though slang and such might vary.

I live in good size country and it is very long with hundreds or maybe thousands of small islands close bye and it is as diverse as you can get, from tropical areas, to subtropics and temperate climate, this country also have areas where they talk in their own dialects, which can be interesting and in some areas they don't like foreigners very much, although you will never be harmed. It is more a cultural regional thing, for example, in some small islands they just want to be mostly left alone. However, for the huge most part, they are a welcoming and decent people who are only happy to help someone in trouble. It is definitely diverse in culture and scene settings.

I live in a very large country, we have a huge difference between regons in terms of climate, ethnic composition, languages, traditional culture, standard of living.
But despite all the diversity, there are no problems with understanding between people - we all use the same language as lingua franca.

America is big and you go from coast to coast, it's like being in five different countries that speak the same language.
