A genuine and serious question, side from earning puts like a farming simulator and grinding your social status all day...

How does locking Games+ behind a pay wall actually stop someone who is already looking to be a pain in the ass and pay the $$ and just report the games anyway...

There may even be a small chance someone is just curious not looking for shit to report but get access to that side of the site and just report anyway because they can't just let others be happy.

Seriously how is this an actual method to protect the site because it seems more like an elaborate way to earn the site and income to keep the site up and running which is fine but the whole thing smells like ass too me

Well, the easy answer is that someone who isn't looking for it actively and is just being a busybody comes in, pokes their head in, looks around and goes 'Oh, I don't see any of X content, guess it's gone', or if they're searching for a particular game with particular content, google might direct them to it here, but they'll see an error and go 'Oh, I guess it was removed'.

Then, even if someone does suspect that some particular kind of content IS hidden away, hypothetically speaking, they'd need to go through the grind (which is tedious and lengthy even if you're someone who genuinely wants to access said hypothetical content), or put their wallet where their mouth is, and the number of moral busybodies who would want to go through with that would drop dramatically.

I think it helps but kind of sucks we have to hit the mark but oh well

I hope it actually works, I'd hate to think we are all doing all this for no reason.

well i recall some people asking for alternative options to grinding LC, one of which was to donate for LC. So a "paywall" was not part of the initial plan to safeguard the website.
i don't speak for the site, i too have faced some frustrating issues with it. But i agree in that it may not necessarily deter these bad actors, however, it would at least be a means to slow them down until a better solution is found

it is just so bots and stuff cannot access these games as easily... and so there is more awkward interactions on this site like this one right here

Sure they, will drop, but the question is how many reports are necessary to get the site in trouble? It only costs 12$ to unlock the + section. ( when it's on offer)

Or it's just one big experiment to see if deviants can get along.

It just makes them put effort into it...

Paying money just so could report some games seems kinda lousy shit but again there people who would do this shit

most just go to a webpage see a game and report it
with this system they first have to be online/chat for a whille, so by the time if they have Members+ thery or 1 already left bec they lost interrest, or 2 they agree that its actually not that good a idea to repport

A lot of takedowns are broadly automatic. No one is giving a bot money to pay for patreon access though.

Good question. It probably does nothing. In fact, you're not certain that's what the reason for this system.

It complicates it more and lowers the chances for it to happen.

It will stop robots from sniffing around.Which is a lot.
