Do you goon through the non-erotic dialogue, maintaining a steady arousal and risking a sore pecker?
Only jerk it during the h-scenes and risk blue balls?
Do you play through then jerk it to the gallery/save at every h-scene to create a sort of gallery?

Or do you have a better solution to those games that have substantial down time between erotic content?

Personally I tend to struggle to find balance when a game has a lot of downtime, end up gooning more than I really would want to. Or in some cases I just ignore the h-scenes until I've unlocked several then partake all at once (though ignoring them risks serious desensitisation)

For example, in Being a DIK, I don't start fapping from the starting point of the game.
Instead, I was waiting for more adult scenes.

But I don't find that kind of games logical, even though I like slowburn games, I don't like tons of paragraphs that don't make sense.

I definitely do a mixture depending on the quality of the game.
Something like The Guardian, or My New Family I'm gooning.
Something with a less crafted story, I'm tossing off only during H-scenes.
On a masterful story, I'm making my own gallery especially if there's not a gallery option and I'm going back to get off after enjoying the story.

This may come as a surprise to some, but these games don't turn me on sexually. I'd rather watch real porn.
And these games, what can you compare them to? Probably movies like American Pie. It's hard to jerk off to those movies. Or Boccaccio's “Decameron” - there are sexual elements, they give a certain spice to the text, but nothing more. The same with these games - spicy stories, with which it is pleasant to psychologically relax after work.

If it's the beginning of the game, and the game seems like it's taking it self seriously, you know that there's not going to be a fappable worthy scene until much later imo. So usually when things start getting good, the story has advanced, etc. is when I might "do the deed".
