I'm not a Dev but I make images and animations that would fit the Member+ category, and I believe there's cons and pros for it, yes, less people will be able to find your project, but the chance of someone that would be offended by it or actually try to boycott you bump into your stuff is also much lower.

I think some Devs would prefer for their games to be harder to find, westy was popular.

Probably glad because less fuckers will be reporting their games/platform.

A dev that makes one of the games I really enjoy has posted his feelings in a thread from when the changes were changing each day. Not all devs dislike it, but not all like it.

The thread is called "active members a dev perspective"

I'm not grinding coins. I post a bit each day or couple of days. If I don't give in before the month or more it'll take me to get the +, it'll be nice to see the games again. In the meantime, I use a few other sites and it satisfies the need the same. Honestly, I should just ditch LC, but I haven't yet.

its not that bad. with being active a little bit and leaving some comments in active threads youll make it in no time

It's already been a fair while and I'm not even halfway. I'm not trying to be dramatic, just doing math.

just post in active threads like the lurkers hangout spot youll get many likes there because there are many active members. in my opinion its easier to get likes in those off-topic threads than with commenting under games.

Depends on whether they are a new dev or old.
For new it limits your starting power
For old it shows that people already will go above and beyond for your work.

I think it's necessary, only the people that would love to see your art will be seeing it

Safeguarding means reduced visibility/access, and it affects their target audience the least.

This question should be asked directly to the developers. But in my humble opinion, most of the developers didn't notice what was going on, as they are busy with quite vanilla projects. If you look at the closed section and exclude games freely available on other resources (as an example - Four Elements Trainer, Corruption Town, Corrupted Love, DMD etc.), then taking into account the large number of abandoned projects and Japanese products (which I do not take into account), there will be literally a handful of developers who are engaged in creating games of a certain class. It's unlikely that their opinion will affect anything.

Funny. Just had the same thought a little while ago. 🤔

Some thoughts.
Con: less exposure
Pro: less exposure
😂
