So I'm pretty new to adult games/gaming and I'm basically posting this to get myself some of those sweet sweet coins lol. I'm also looking for some recommendations of good games that are a bit older that I may not have come across yet so any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance

My memory is not that good, so I don't remember many past games, but you probably should check out Acting Lessons and Once in a Lifetime, previous games from the devs of Being a Dik and Eternum, respectively.

If you're looking for some good, mainline VNs, that are older and complete, check out Once in a Lifetime and Leap of Faith. If you like much older with a little bit of a surreal edge, look at the VNs developed by Mortze Art/Tlaero - also referred to as the Elsaverse. There are many more out there, but those fall among my favorites.

Wow, not many people know of Tora's games. I really liked the storytelling in them.

They were some of the first VNs that drew me in. I liked the semi-realistic renders and have always been a fan of pubes - the storytelling was a huge plus. Haven't done anything with their recent projects - they didn't excite me as much and I have many, many, MANY other things already on the list.

I stopped following them when Tlaero "retired". I think she came back, but I never checked it again.
Elsa was really my type of girl back them, and their renders were very good from its time. I was introduced to that games by the VDateGames blog, and VDateGames' renders were quite bad, so I was positively surprised when I first played the Elsaverse games.

Snow Daze is a finished and fully voiced game that has surprising depth and replay ability.
Sisterly Lust is wonderful and finished... art still holds up despite being older.
Parental Love... see everything I said about Sisterly Lust.
Dark Neighborhood is a bit weird but totally worth a play.
Tamas Awakening is good especially if you're into pregnancy and/or mind control.
All of the above are finished which is nice compared to living update to update... though some of the games these days are so good they're totally worth the wait on new scenes.

I liked that the first time through you had to choose which character to pursue and it wasn't until you unlocked all of them that you could get the harem ending... also, it was one of the first I ever played and so the plot was fresh for me.

Well, I came fron H-manga and this trope is very used there. Never liked it.
I consume this type of media for the plot/setting, so having mind control erases the build up and kinda makes it somewhat dull on my opinion.
