Reluctant archon, and Off the record probably have my all time favorite harems but both are abandoned.

For completed games its terminus reach sentinel, some of the art can be hard to get past but especially in #2 i love all the characters.

I'm really looking forward to when My New Memories starts to get good. Several characters to enrich the harem, mother, sisters, daughters, sister-in-law, half-sisters and friends.
 
It's constantly changing tbh, so I've completely dismissed the notion of maintaining a "favorite game". That said, If I were forced to pick one right now, It would likely be Cosy Cafe.

I really want to like MNM... But I just can't play it. Being in a relationship with the sister at the start of the game really bugged me during its initial release. I've downloaded it multiple times since then, but can never find the motivation to give it another chance.

I thought it was a different approach than usual, due to the fact that the MC doesn't remember anything and has to develop the relationship with his sister again. I really like that he already has a very different relationship with each character and has to remember that. It's the same standard as conventional games but approached in a different way.

That's fair tbh. I've noticed that I've never really liked characters whose romantic or sexual relationships starts before the game does. I don't really hate them, just find them more boring compared to other characters.

This holds double for incestuous relationships. I prefer when taboo relationships offer the illusion that it's still a taboo. When a game starts with a taboo relationship already established, it just feels like the relationship doesn't need to exist to begin with.

I was a big fan of MNF when MNM was announced, so to see that relationship in the first update was extremely disappointing for me.

Weird... I love incest games... but never really cared for the "taboo".
I just think that fucking and breeding the fam is hot... 🤷‍♂️

Honestly, doesn't that just mean you do care about the taboo? Characters in adult games are just pixels. The fact you're interested in breeding the family suggests that it is the taboo of breeding the family that excites you.

If not, what's the difference between breeding a character called "mom" compared to a random character?

My problem is simply that taboo relations that start off screen simply doesn't feel taboo to me in the first place.

No. Taboo implies getting excited over doing something forbidden, hidden or unspoken.
I don't care about that factor.
I'm a harem and romance player too.
What I like is a close romantic relationship with the fam. M/S, B/S and F/D resulting from the other two.
For me it's the closest bond, family, even stronger.
I'd play a game with incest even if it were a world where incest is completely normal and everybody does it, hence without the taboo.
I think taboo would only apply to IRL incest, which has nothing to do with AVNs.

Radiant though it remains to be seen if MC will be punished for having more than one girl. Not officially labelled a harem game, might end up like Become a Rockstar, or Where the Heart is and punish the player.
