I can foreseen in near future, the publish of VN will be in the from of LLM+diffusion model with main plot presetting,
that most events around main plot are generative according to player input, along side with live image.

I already know a few DND groups are using fine-tuned LLM for their gameplay, so this is not completely scifi

it will be a few years as most finely tuned AIs like that are resource hogs and the generation for rendering takes time. Either hardware needs to improve massively or the AIs need to become more efficient. it will happen just not in the short term. I put it out at 5 to 10 years probably a good mid term length.

Sounds cool but imo the AI still seems quite far being able to generate a coherent, non-repeatable and interesting story. Remember AI is never going to create something new so, fuck AI (yet)

I agree it still has a long way to go

alot of the chatbot style ai can create a pretty good "world" so far so they are basically creaitng games without meaning it. i don't think itst hat far off to think in 10 years well have ai stories (with a human setting boundaries and guidlines)
it would be like improv

Yes, that would be very interesting, just to imagine that many films or series can be changed. I'm not talking about images that change things. But films that can have completely new plots.

I've no idea if or when such a thing will exist, but it would be amazing to reach a point where you basically just have infinite content. What's good is that porn games of the VN variety would be the easiest to create before any other kind of game. The writing is generally subpar in the vast majority of titles (good enough for a porn game, but not much else) so if they can get over that hurdle, then probably soon after they'd start to pop up.

you just described 90% of the game by human on this and the other site:ROFLMAO:

secondly you still need to manually plot the your main plot

interesting prediction, I can kinda see it aswell.

That's only sort of true. There are standard plot outlines for most common story types, and they are surprisingly detailed and consistent. Like, in a blockbuster action/adventure film there is usually a dressing down by a father figure at minute 23.
So an AI trained on those could easily generate a plot outline that would feel satisfying. What takes more human creativity is coming up with the distinctive plot hook that makes a story memorable, and giving characters unique conversation styles. That, and whatever other creative elements the dev/author actually cares about.

we're definitely heading for that, and after that - prompt driven movies and maybe truly interactive movies after

I think we are a few years away from that.

AI generated images are getting better and better but they still have that uncanny valley feeling for a lot of people.
AI generated text is ahead of images right now but I don't know about generating very large amounts of text in a way that would make a coherent story.

i find the whole concept of AI media both fascinating and terrifying. It's possible In 10-20 years AI content from images, to music, and movies, will be tailored to your exact tastes - effectively killing the old entertainment industries as no one can compete with content that can be generated in mere moments, as opposed to the months and years it would usually take to create various media.

nah it's still pretty far off. The story will be too PC for one.

'Never' is the incorrect term.
