Games straight to point or games you have to grind?

Just main story should be to the point, everything else is okay with heavy grinding

Hey,
what type of games do you prefer?
I can't really make up my mind about that topic.
Sometimes I like when you don't have to do anything at all to get to the lewd scenes in games and other times I like when you have to work for your pleasure. It feels more satisfying then for me.
Two of my favorite games are OSiL and Bernd and the mystery from Unteraltenbach.
OSiL is really straight forward and a pleasure to play but for Bernd to get the girls he likes you have to work hard and fight through numerous Game Over screens if you messed it up.
But if you finally hook up with the girl, the excitement is even bigger for me.
So, a quick fap or pleasent anticipation? What do you think?
if i want straight to the point ill watch porn, i don't mind a bit of a grind, as long as its not stupid. like needing to do the same action over and over again for no reason (e.g need to spam finger the girl for 5 nights to fill up the bar just to spam finger her again for another 5 nights but her panties shifted to the side) i also hate un-skipable scenes, no i dont want to watch the same clothed foot job for the 25th time. Bernd is a good example of working for it, as even when you choose wrong, you still get something new (even if it is that gross fat arse from the start of the game 🤮)
Teacher feeling was also a good way to grind. you have the option to be lewd from the start, but it costs you dearly.

It is supposed to be a game, not a movie. Of course I like some gameplay parts like grinding, as long as it doesn't become a chore.

I even miss the old point system of Living with Temptation compared with having to wait an entire in-game week for an event.

I gave a more fleshed out opinion in another thread, but basically it's gotta be QUALITY grinding if it wants my time.

Ever played Horus? The combat is not bad, and it gives the option of skipping certain types of opponents when you have killed a number of them.

No, never heard of it. I do appreciate options like that. It's almost an accessiblity thing, just let people tailor their gameplay to what they want if it's easy to code in.

straight to point if the game is grinding it just loses my drive to continue

I tend to like grinding in games if it is fun or if it feels like i'm progressing in something (like jobs in a few fantasy harem games) i enjoy seeing numbers go up but it also depends on how the pacing is and how much to the side i can put it if i really just want to jerk off

A balance between the two is ideal, but if I had to choose, I'd lean more toward games that require some grinding. There's a greater sense of satisfaction when you finally achieve a goal after putting in time and effort to earn it.

If everything is handed to you immediately, it can sometimes feel less rewarding. On the other hand, excessive grinding can become tedious, so I prefer games that make you work for progress without turning it into a chore. When the pacing is right, the payoff feels much more meaningful.
