Now that artificial intelligence is everywhere, what do you think the future of visual novels will be like with the implementation of these advances?

I dont really know to much about how fast AI progress, but perhaps the dialogues will become more complex for example, or some interactions in certain scenes. Maybe is too far for now

I think we will start seeing games that have custom options for interactions that will change the way the game responds. Maybe you get 3 options for interactions or write your own. then the game can respond to try and keep you on track or divert you to a special ending.

Well I've seen quite a few A.I built games and can honestly say the tech is still not 100% ready. Something always looks off with the graphics and other assets. Right now using the A.I tools with human workers is the best option. As NVIDIA has showcased.

That would be interesting

I can see people just having it either write their code for them to make that faster, or just writing the script itself. I can see writing the script going very poorly at least based on what it can do now.

There is some seriously good AI art going around these days, even a few games using it too.

Yeah but a good eye can tell it's fake. There are a few AI games on this site and the art is terrible.

There is a couple of games that use AI art and its pretty fantastic. Also I'm not referring to the photo realism type AI art, that still has a ways to go yet.

Nah it's not I've seen the 2D erotic games. Still have that fake looking aesthetic.

I would love a dating sim that created the environment based on your preferences. or maybe just the people you date. IDK i have no idea how to write a game let alone add in AI character customization. I have a feeling it would be impossibly large or expensive.

It really shouldn't be called "artificial intelligence" because there is no intelligence. They just feed it tons of information and in the case of ChatGPT (and others) it's garbage information. Also, "AI" shouldn't even be allowed to intrude into the art sector because it doesn't create art.

AI could help speed up the progress in scripts, art, maybe even in the programming of the game, but for now I think we only have access to ai art, and even then it's still rudimentary. Until some big creator uses it, I don't think it's going to take off and suddenly everyone uses AI to assist

AI art is a given, but you will likely start seeing the creative aspects like writing and directing start to implement AI creations/prompts.

I see a golden age for graphics in AVN but when it comes to writing ... idk, hard to predict.

This is a mixed bag for sure. On the one hand, ai is getting better every day, to where soon the problems it had won't be a thing. Hell, I'm already starting to see a few ai generated games that look really good and got me interested in trying them out. But on the other hand, Daz3d seems to have more of an appeal to me with avn's most of the time, where when done right, I will always choose them over animated.
