There always be something imperfect about the games i found,it usually take month to find something worth.

"曾經滄海難為水,除卻巫山不是雲。"
It's mean..
When you see more and more objects, your understanding of them becomes deeper and your taste becomes higher and higher, making it harder for you to find objects that satisfy you.

1. Reading the announcement. If you are interested and it is not version 0.001 of 50 Mb, you can download it.
2 Unpack it, run it. If within half an hour what is happening on the display did not cause any response in your soul - mercilessly delete.
3. Repeat point 1.
According to the theory of probability, sooner or later will meet something worthy.
Although we must point out. Sometimes not badly started projects begin to degrade (in my opinion) and eventually lose my interest. And also sent to the trash can. And these are well-known and popular projects - Summertime Saga, Taffy Tales, Love & Sex Second Base, Reunion (by Karabinek).
But even taking into account possible subsequent rejection, you can find something interesting for you personally by trial and error. I have time to familiarize myself with 3-4 projects a month, no more than that. And at the end of the year I save only 5-6 games and VN. So a good project is a rarity.

Agree, if you find yourself bored to death and skipping dialogues even though it's your first playthrough, that's not a good sign, just delete the game and move on to something else...there have been lots of games which seemed great from the plot/renders but then they proved out to be deathly boring to play...if it doesn't click within a mid/short period of time, it's highly unlikely it clicking in the long run...

every now and again you find someone that can actually program instead of just running static images and video files together in a choice tree, and those SOBs can make a hell of a lot of game in a relatively small amount of space. the early version is usually a negative indicator, I'll grant, but it's often worth it to check out the screenshots and take a risk

I can usually tell if I like a game from the short description, and images. If the description is eh, but the images are nice, I might try the game still for a couple of minutes

one of the best "minimalist" authors is sid valentine he can make a fun game with under 100 images

[sarcasm] Obviously every game is imperfect, its shose sick devs, they dont think like us and do things we dont want while forgetting about the stuff we want most [/sarcasm]
Honestly, i gave up looking for perfect games long ago because MY definition of perfect is so far away from common standards, it would be a fucking surprise if i ever wound find a game fitting this role.

I can ignore some imperfections , it just comes down to whether or not the game has tags that are a big no no for me. I don't think there will ever be a perfect game.
