Is it just me, or do you lose some interest in a girl (character) if she uses a dildo, either somewhat frequently or to pierce her hymen and rob you of taking her virginity. I personally do not mind a stap-on between two girls (provided they are at least mine already or getting there). But just them using one by themselves really irritates me and can sometime make me drop a game.

There's a lot of misinformation about the hymen, but it does exist. If it's absent it does not necessarily mean a girl isn't a virgin anymore but at birth all girls have a hymen. If it gets torn without having sex, I'm not that upset about it. If a girl for some reason does decide to deflower herself with a dildo, well, I suppose it's better than if she had used a random guy but it doesn't mean I have to be happy about it.

In the context of a VN, I don't see much reason to take something away from perfection, unless there is a good story reason behind it.

Kind of off topic but without discussing the topic of "ownership" in depth (can you really own anything at all?), you do sound a bit defeatist.

I don't think there is anything wrong with considering people "yours", in the sense that you belong to each other and have certain rights and duties towards each other. Your wife is yours because you exchanged vows. Your children are yours (unless, perhaps if you are an NTR fan ) because you created them and raised them. You belong to your parents because they created and raised you.

You belong to a country because you were born there. Your country belongs to you because you were born there, contributed to society, paid taxes etc.

Your house is yours because you paid for it, maintained it, kept it heated. Etc.

If you don't acknowledge these rights (and I realise a lot of people deny this at the moment) you are also set to lose all of the above. You don't own your wife so she will leave you if she's fed up or if someone better comes along. Other people have just as much right to live in your country or your house as you do, etc. But ultimately that will be a very strange and lopsided world. Even in the USSR it was not like that.
