Welll... it could be any of the BlackHeart Games, Raptus, Malignant... But to be honest, those are some of my favourites games also

Malignant gets pretty dark.
Radiant also has a dark path where you basically brutally abuse one of your daughters. (Haven't played that path in a few updates, no idea if it keeps going farther.)
B.O.G.O. is dark, basically toddlercon and I think everyone dies, more or less.
I mean, there's lots of shit that can be considered "fucked up" but ends up being the status quo for these sorts of games. Like Proud Father is a ridiculously fucked up incest-fest, but is presented as all are willing participants, so is that less fucked up or more fucked up?

I would say Raptus which gives the mood just with its introduction : "A young boy has been locked for several years in a mental health facility because of his illness and the crimes he committed as a kid, finally free to return to his past life he can't wait to fulfill his desires and let out all the anger and hate he built up in these years."
From what I read the ending of Acting Lessons is up there.
The ending is, most of the rest of the game isn't.
I think in order for a game to truly be dark, it has to either have mc that is descending or suffering madness, where their actions are not of their own control, or the depravity is treated as a glorification of heinous things. Otherwise its just horror and gore. Personally I dont like actual dark games, cause im not a fan of losing my mental faculties considering the family ive watched die to dementia and related disease, not just one or two, shits genetic for me, so not looking forward to that. and well the glorification of depravity doesnt excite me in anyway. acting maliciously for me requires purpose, an instigation. Having said that, Malignant was truly screwed up and i found the end before he finished himself to be extremely disturbing. Where as Raptus was more gore and fantasy, otherwise you wouldnt get game over scenes for so many choices, like taking his sister. Blackheart games are more like gore and violence for the sake of violence, and lets be honest, there is a crap load of story in most of them, like actual real captivating story, and the story isnt all that dark. Its more sad and depressing. I think most people wanted Jackie to make it out and see his daughter be born, and the continuation of the overall story leads more to a redemption, not jackie being a good guy, but worthy of being in his daughters life, or shall i say safe enough to be in her life. He was more likely to groom and rape her in Hotel then be a daddy. But that kinda goes to my point, those stories have stories and the acts are dark the stories not so much. imo
I know one game that got banned in LC, named "B.O.G.O." or B.O.G.O.S something like that, there were some pretty fucked up things in this game.
But I think the darkest Visual Novel wouldn't be in here.
Blackheart games is not the darkest dev in here, TGL shows that they (or he) have become soft.
I fear the content of one game, Panic Attack, scary name for a game, scary dev, fucked up tags. But I never played it tho.

Mmmm i don't know, AL is not "dark", i'd say is sad, really sad. I mean yes it has some dark points with certain character, but it doesn't have a dark plot. Even so, i'm still heart broken for that game.
Lessons in Love actively tries to make the player hate himself, but the story itself isn't entirely dark-- there is a lot of humor and bright spots.
Crimson Gray is a yandere obsession story (partially) told from the yandere's PoV, so it gets a little fucked up.
Vitamin D is just.... diseased dicks and bestiality as far as the eye can see. Definitely not that healthy.
But I'm The Bad Guy has an MC who is a psycho rapist. Definitely not everyone's brand of vodka.
Deluca Family has an entire subplot about people systematically torturing and killing little kids, which is kinda of rough.
Little Green Hill isn't really "dark" as in edgey, but the MC is a guy who has a goal of (among other things) fucking an entire house full of 8 year olds, so... yeah.
On the Japanese side, you have stuff truly out there..... games like Sansha Mendan where the MC does stuff like rape a girl until her mind breaks and she then helps him rape her mom.

By far Raptus the MC is a total psycho. Panic Attack and Malignant are crazy game too
